The #Lions and All-Pro S Kerby Joseph reached agreement on a massive new extension to make him the highest paid safety in NFL history, sources say. He gets a 4-year, $86M deal — $21.5M per year — in contract done by @AgentLouisBing. A big-time star in Detroit cashes in.

Oregon State RB AJ Newberry (#23) piqued my interest on film. Former Vanderbilt transfer who has been very productive this year (431 rushing yards, 3 TDs, 6.6 YPC, 24 receptions for 288 yards and another score thru 7 games). Smooth athlete, and very versatile

In the NIL era, some Dallas-area players refuse to 'chase the money' during recruitment. Jayshon Gibson, Blake Gunter, Peyton Miller said money didn't drive college decisions, continuing a national trend. Read: dallasnews.com/high-school-s… #txhsfb @SportsDayHS @dctf @NCAA @ihss_dfw

To all high school kids who are struggling with offers: This is D’Anthony Bell. He attended 2 different JUCOs, 2 different D2s, & even took a year off to work construction. He is entering Year 5 in the NFL & just received a Super Bowl ring. Where you start isn’t where you finish!

Happy Haitian Flag Day 🇭🇹 I just remembered last year at @Lions training camp, Kerby brought out his custom Haitian champion belt made for him by his amazing agent. I couldn’t believe when he handed it to me to hold and check out up close! 💙 Seeing Haitian pride represented like this on the football field was a special moment, especially knowing Kerby’s journey so far! Proud of the culture. Proud of the people (especially the good cooks!) Sak pase! 🦁🇭🇹
