FROM THE NASSR TRIBUNE TO @Cristiano. 💛🇵🇹
And so, the curtain falls on a story too beautiful to ever have an ending.
Dear Cristiano,
Twenty-three years. 234 appearances. 146 goals. A lifetime of memories. And a nation struggling to find the words to describe what you have given it.
The boy from Madeira has brought his international journey to a close, leaving behind records, unforgettable memories and a void nobody can ever fill.
Absolutely nobody.
How do you replace a man who became the history of his nation? How do you replace the passion, determination and unmistakable presence of someone who made the impossible look routine?
You don't. You simply learn to live with his absence.
146 international goals. 234 appearances. The most capped player and greatest goalscorer in men's international football. Six World Cup appearances. 14 European Championship goals. A European crown in 2016 and Nations League triumphs in 2019 and 2025.
These are more than statistics. They are the footprints of a man who refused to let time, criticism or circumstance define his greatness.
If we could have wished for one thing, it would have been four more goals. We wanted you to reach 150. Five more moments to celebrate our captain and witness that unforgettable celebration.
But perhaps we should celebrate the extraordinary journey rather than mourn the milestones left unreached.
146 goals. Not one forgotten.
Beyond the numbers are the tears of 2016, the heartbreaks, the celebrations and the countless nights Portugal needed a hero and number 7 answered.
We will miss not just the goals, but the feeling. The belief that something extraordinary could happen whenever Cristiano Ronaldo wore Portugal's colours.
We still hope for a proper farewell, worthy of a captain who gave more than two decades to his country. One where gratitude speaks louder than controversy and applause outweighs every disagreement.
Legends deserve beautiful endings.
From The Nassr Tribune, we may wear yellow and blue with pride, but today, our hearts stand with the red and green.
One chapter ends, but another continues in Riyadh. There are still stories to write in Al Nassr colours, records to chase and, with just 15 goals remaining to reach 1,000 career goals, history to make.
Cristiano, Portugal may pass the shirt to another, but it can never pass on your history.
You came as a boy with a dream. You leave as a man who made an entire nation dream with him.
This isn't the disappearance of a legend. It's the beginning of his immortality.
Thank you for the goals, glory, tears, sacrifices and memories. Thank you for the privilege of witnessing greatness.
23 YEARS. 234 APPEARANCES. 146 GOALS. ONE PORTUGAL LEGEND. ONE CRISTIANO RONALDO.
We wanted 150, but 146 will forever be legendary.
Obrigado, Capitão.
There may be another number 7, another captain and another generation of extraordinary talents.
But there will never be another you.
FOREVER OUR NUMBER 7. FOREVER CR7. SIUUUUUUU🐐🇵🇹💛

Now that the Court has Nullified Atiku’s 2027 Presidential Candidacy, should he support PETER OBI’s Presidential bid or fight on to overturn court orders?

Hello @DaveUmahi after you explain how Mary Habila died, care to explain this ???
TODAY IN HISTORY: NOVEMBER 3
The Disappearance of Five NELAN Engineers During Dave Umahi's Administration
On November 3, 2021, five engineers working with NELAN Consultants left Enugu for Ebonyi State on an official assignment connected to the Abakaliki Ring Road Phase II project. They travelled in an official Toyota Hilux with registration number ERR 001 EB. They never returned.
The five engineers were Engr. Nelson Onyemeh, Lead Consultant and Chief Executive Officer of NELAN Consultants, from Ihiala, Anambra State; Engr. Ernest Edeani, from Nkanu, Enugu State; Engr. Ikechukwu Ejiofor, from Umunya, Anambra State; Engr. Samuel Aneke, from Nkanu, Enugu State; and Engr. Stanley Nwazulum, from Amawbia, Anambra State.
Before their disappearance, serious disagreements had reportedly developed between NELAN Consultants and the administration of then-Governor Dave Umahi over the management, supervision and financial control of the AfDB-funded road project.
According to allegations made by the families of the missing engineers, the Umahi administration wanted NELAN to take a back seat and allow the state government greater control over the project, including issuing payment certificates and giving instructions to contractors.
The families further alleged that the government wanted NELAN to approve certificates of satisfactory completion for work supervised or executed by other engineers and contractors. NELAN reportedly resisted, arguing that such actions would violate the terms of its consultancy contract with the African Development Bank (AfDB), compromise its professional responsibilities and potentially expose the firm to sanctions.
On the day they disappeared, the five engineers reportedly travelled to Effium, in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, to carry out supervisory work on the road project. They were said to have arrived in the area at about 2 p.m. and were expected to meet a man identified as Ken Okeh around 3 p.m. to discuss accommodation arrangements.
That was the last known sighting of the five engineers.
Their disappearance prompted NELAN Consultants to petition the Inspector-General of Police, while the case attracted national attention and calls for a thorough investigation.
Five years after they left Enugu for what should have been a routine professional assignment, the whereabouts of Nelson Onyemeh, Ernest Edeani, Ikechukwu Ejiofor, Samuel Aneke and Stanley Nwazulum remain unknown. Neither the engineers nor their remains have been recovered.
What happened to the five NELAN engineers?
