My husband told me I was being dramatic for calling the bank after he secretly took $12,000 out of our house fund.
Then his sister accidentally confirmed the whole thing in our family group chat.
And baby, the way I put my phone on speaker that night...
My husband and I had been saving for our first home for almost two years. Every bonus, every tax refund, every extra dollar went into that account.
We finally had $18,000.
Then one Tuesday morning, I checked the balance and nearly dropped my coffee.
$6,000.
I walked straight into the kitchen.
Me: "Babe, where's the rest of our money?"
Him: "What money?"
Me: "Don't play with me. Our house money. We had eighteen grand in there."
He looked at me for a second, then went right back to eating his breakfast.
Him: "I sent some to my sister. She had a situation."

This man really thought he could empty our savings without asking me, then tell me to just start over.
So I asked him what kind of emergency needed $12,000.
He said his sister was behind on some wedding expenses.
Not medical bills.
Not rent.
Not some emergency that came outta nowhere.
Her destination wedding.
Me: "You stole our house deposit to pay for a vacation wedding?"
Him: "It's her big day. You don't understand how much pressure she's under."
Me: "And what about the pressure YOU'RE putting me under right now?"
He grabbed his keys and left.
I thought that was the end of it until his sister messaged the family group chat that evening.
Sister-in-law: "Y'all can stop stressing me about the wedding money. My brother already handled the last $12K, so everything is paid for!"
I stared at that message.

I once went to Arbyβs. The workers all had star wars themed badges with different characters names. I asked to take a pic to send to my friend. The worker stopped, then said βplease donβtβ
He explained that he is Autistic. He hacked the Arbyβs System and made custom Star Wars badges for him and his coworkers. He said he doesnβt want photos because HR was insistent on firing him. His manager enjoyed him as an employee and loved the Star Wars badges so stood up against HRs decision.
Im in a whole scam situation with them and the host and they need to properly investigate. Besides that, I aint got it, so even if I felt it was a fair charge, they'd need to at least give me two weeks. They gave me two days and said it's going to collections. I paid rent today. I aint got it and won't have it (considering i had to pay $1000 the very next day after already paying them $1000 for a rental) that'd be $2500 to them in a week. I'M NOT PAYING.
