An honour to spend time with two gardening legends at the Horticultural Trades Association annual conference yesterday. We surprised Roy Lancaster with the Pearson Memorial Medal for a lifetime commitment to plants and horticulture!
Almost November and Cocktail Crush #tomato is still yielding well in my unheated tunnel.

Newly planted mini cyclamen wilting and falling over?
Check for vine weevil larvae pictured here. They eat the roots of many plants and this grower has failed to control this pest before selling them.

Love this window into the park @thenewtsomerset but I think it’s something only hotel guests get to enjoy.

Like billowing clouds, these yew trees @thenewtsomerset look fantastic!
They were almost this big when they were bought from a Belgium grower and transplanted here back in (I think) 2018.
Mahonia x eurybracteata Meteor and held above Soft Caress for comparison.
Meteor will produce striking red new leaves in spring. #inmygardennow
The colours now intensifying on Coleus Campfire.
With Bidens Bee Happy and Bacopa.

Rhus typhina aka Stag’s Horn Sumach showing great #autumncolour already. Judging by the dense large fruit clusters I think this must be a female plant.
Mahonia nitens Cabaret #inmygardennow
Just love that rich colour!
