I love all the pearl clutching that the Right wing does whenever I talk about justice for victims of the atrocities of the US or our allies.
But twist themselves into a pretzel defending Trump calling our country a country of “A lot of Killers”.
Miss me w/ your faux outrage 🤡

The devastation in Gaza is unconscionable. We must urge an immediate ceasefire. The killing of Palestinians and Israelis must end. We must also take a hard look at nearly $4 billion a year in military aid to Israel. It is illegal for U.S. aid to support human rights violations.

PASSED: Today, the US Senate rejects anti-Asian hate.
This historic, bipartisan vote on the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act is a powerful message of solidarity to our AAPI community. Now, I urge the House to swiftly pass this legislation so President Biden can sign it into law.

Completely and utterly unacceptable. Biden promised to welcome immigrants, and people voted for him based on that promise.
Upholding the xenophobic and racist policies of the Trump admin, incl the historically low + plummeted refugee cap, is flat out wrong.
Keep your promise.
Breaking News: The Biden administration will keep its cap on refugee admissions at the low level set by the Trump White House, walking back an earlier pledge. nyti.ms/3eadvJw

Another morning waking up to news of another shooting. Today it's #Indianapolis — where will it be next? How many times do we have to see this happen before we act? The House passed commonsense gun safety legislation. It's time for the Senate to do the same and #EndGunViolence

ever notice how paying off your mortgage improves your credit score but paying rent doesn't?
and how renters (who have an average net worth of $6k) can't improve their credit score so they end up paying higher interest on loans?
almost like the system is set up to keep you poor

homeowners (average net worth: $255k) get tax breaks on their housing
renters (average net worth: $6k) get no tax break on their housing
this is just one of those accepted things that perpetuates inequality that no one even mentions

Since 1985, the average Wall Street bonus has gone up 1,217%. If the federal minimum wage had increased at the same rate as Wall Street bonuses, it would be $44/hour. Instead, it's remained stuck at $7.25 an hour for 12 years. We must raise the minimum wage to at least $15/hour.

Imagine having the ganas to go home and ask minimum wage workers to support you after going back on your own documented stance to help crush their biggest chance at a wage hike during their longest drought of wage increases since the law’s very inception. Sin vergüenza.

There's no such thing as being both "a social liberal and fiscal conservative."
Being fiscally conservative means cutting from social programs that aid the disadvantaged; they never cut from the military or corporate subsidies. Supporting social programs means investing in them.
