If you've seen me on the campaign trail, you've probably seen me wearing this hat. There's a reason I wear it so often. Wisconsin is home, and there's no place I'd rather be. It's where I grew up on a dairy farm in western Wisconsin. It's where I met my wife, Chris, in the Northwoods, and where we raised our three daughters. Wisconsin has given me everything. And I want to make sure every family across our great state has the opportunity to say the same. To everyone who has already cast their ballot, thank you. I'm humbled by your support, and I will never take it for granted. And to everyone who hasn't voted yet, there is ONE HOUR LEFT. As long as you're in line by 8 PM CT, you can cast your ballot. Four packed Tavern Talks this week, taking questions from voters across Wisconsin. Our plan: Lower taxes, return the $3 billion surplus, and stop rubber-stamping utility rate hikes. David Crowley has raised taxes every year in Milwaukee County. He’ll take even more as governor.

Wisconsin’s last budget increased spending by 15%, topping $100 billion for the first time. Did your services improve by 15%? Did our schools get 15% better? Did our roads get 15% better? We’ll make state government accountable to working families and respect every tax dollar.

This is @DavidCCrowley's record as Milwaukee County Executive. 2021: Raised property taxes by $2.9 million. 2022: Raised property taxes by $5.5 million. 2023: Raised property taxes by $3.5 million. 2024: Nearly doubled the sales tax. 2025: Raised property taxes by $7.2 million. 2026: Raised property taxes by $10.4 million. Even after raising your taxes every year, Milwaukee County is still projected to run a $51 million deficit next year... the LARGEST of any county in Wisconsin.

I just want to say thank you for your prayers and support. We were incredibly fortunate, and I’m thankful the pilot and I are both doing well. The experience was a reminder to never take a single day for granted. Thank you to the 911 dispatcher, the Wausau Fire Department crew who rescued us from the water, EMS, law enforcement, and everyone at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Our first responders represent the best of Wisconsin. I’m grateful to be home with my family, and I’m ready to get back to work for you. God is good.

Thank you to everyone across Wisconsin and around the country who has reached out with prayers and kind words. It has meant so much to me and my family. I was released from the hospital last night after receiving stitches above my right eye, and the pilot was also released. We thank God that neither of us suffered more serious injuries after the plane we were traveling in lost power. I’m especially grateful to the pilot, the Wausau Fire Department, law enforcement, first responders, and the team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for their incredible care and quick response. I will be addressing the media later today in Wausau. Thank you again for keeping us in your prayers.

While returning home from the La Crosse County Lincoln Day Dinner tonight, the plane I was traveling in lost power as we approached the Wausau Downtown Airport. The pilot made an emergency water landing in Lake Wausau. After landing, we called 911. As the plane began to submerge, we exited the aircraft and swam to a shallow area, where we waited until emergency responders reached us by boat. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the pilot, the Wausau Fire Department, and all of the first responders who came to our aid so quickly. They got us safely off the water and transported us to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where we received excellent care. Thankfully, both the pilot and I sustained only minor injuries. God was watching over us tonight, and I am incredibly grateful to be here in the hospital with my wife, Chris, by my side. An experience like this reminds you just how precious life is.
