Tyler Markus, a rising junior from Richmond, VA, was sitting 82–84 mph and had topped 86 during the fall of 2025.
He began training with Tread in April with two primary goals:
✅ Earn an opportunity at a four-year school
✅ Break 90 mph
Less than two weeks later, @Tyler_Markus33 sat 87–89 and hit 90 for the first time. 🔥
Here's how Tyler and @trenton_3_carr did it: ⬇️

#HeatSheet Alert, @DSeifertD1PBR! Alex Markus pumps 95-97 cheddar with a banger 3/4 breaking ball at 82-84 spinning into the 3100 rpm range. He used the breaker to fan Max Galvin, stranding a runner in 7th. Also good bullpen work by low-slot LHP Matthew Buchanan for @UVABaseball.

The present state of college baseball continues to amaze me.
Enter @UVABaseball reliever Alex Markus, a Grad student touching 98 #HeatSheet with an 87-88 CTR and 83-84 SL.
He followed another UVA Grad transfer Matt Lazendorfer, a sidearm lefty touching 95.
