I wonder how the aquatic communities are affected by those contaminants? I know there have been some (lab) studies on pharmaceuticals but there is so much more to be done here.

Here's a rather stunning visualization shared during today's @Y2Y_Initiative conference on #roadecology, via Tom Martin of Montana DOT — a young grizzly bear attempting, and nearly always failing, to cross I-90. Each X is a highway approach. About as permeable as the Berlin Wall.
Spent the last few hours staring through the stereoscope documenting some of my buggos 🦟🕷️🐞 personally, I think they are quite beautiful. And I know I'm not alone with that opinion 🥰
