Playing fast violin passages in tune cannot only rely on real-time auditory feedback.
Auditory-motor processing latency is ~100-150ms. At high tempo, by the time your brain registers a pitch error, your hand has already played the next note.
How it actually works:
Biological systems solve extreme latency constraints through internal predictive simulation rather than reactive feedback loops.
This inspires new research on real-time neural decoding, brain-computer interfaces, and adaptive AI systems.
