It would be great to get more details and a timeline, but apparently @Allbridge_io are working to integrate @Algorand again.
1 year ago, read the whole thread. Allbridge was the only integration completed, now gone. My question for @AlgoFoundation / @Algorand : wouldn't it better at a certain point to say that these are not priorities, and that they will never happen, instead of saying that you are working on it and that discussions are happening? This includes fixing the on-chain liquidity issue. Just say quantum-proof, institutional adoption and agentic payments are the main focus right now and everything else is on hold. Now, I think CCTP does impact the agentic narrative, so there's that.
I feel like things take forever to get implemented. Also, wasn't the new CEO supposed to come on X ("that was always the plan") or is it going to take months to create an account?
By the way, the thread below is just one of the many examples you can find here on X, some are from 3-4 years ago.
We got an amazing tech that has never been properly used (state-proofs included), with many failed projects that took $$$, and we are being quickly surpassed in adoption by more recent/faster blockchains.

A must-read note on liquidity from our head of DeFi. We know liquidity is a big issue; @fredestante and the team are treating this as a top priority.
This is the dumbest idea I've seen in this space in a long time. A phone that is not a phone with an eSim that is data only, with a stupid high price launched at the exact moment when everyone is concerned about tampering of hardware wallet. WTF.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that they are sucking money from the eco and I don't blame them for not actively building anymore.
BUT... if you are still involved with the Algorand ecosystem you should DEFINITELY support active builders.
Many people joined the space yesterday: how many have recently traded an ASA on @pact_fi ? Or bought a new coin on @haydotapp ? Or placed a bet on @alphaarcade ?

Would be great to hear from @marcvl what he thinks his biggest accomplishments (and regrets) were during his time at the foundation.
After 2.5 years at @AlgoFoundation as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, I've decided to resign. It has been an honor to work with the many talented people at the Foundation and the amazing builders in our ecosystem.
I will still run my Algorand node and Reti pool, and, as a member of the #AlgoFam community, I hope to continue to contribute to Algorand’s success.

Why is it so hard for @AlgoFoundation and @Algorand staff to acknowledge the basics of this space?
You cannot literally be living off crypto ($ALGO) yet at the same time see yourselves as somehow above the "crypto bro" space that X is.
Like it or not, this is where your current investor base is and has been for the last seven years.
Such a high ROI with low effort, and the only person who knew how to utilize it was JAW @JohnAlanWoods

🧩 It's not about FUD, but yeah, I'm pissed that the new CEO isn't on X.
Some of the biggest CEOs in the world are on X. And for good reason. It's a no-brainer if you want to increase your reach and visibility.
I get it, he doesn't like Elon Musk. Neither do I.
But you know what they say: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Use his tools to "Make Algorand Great Again."
Algorand shouldn't be held hostage by anyone's personal beliefs or principles.
Same goes for putting flags or political symbols next to your name when you're representing a company.
It's divisive. And your personal battles should stay personal, not become part of the identity of the organization you represent.
You can stand for whatever you believe in. Just don't drag Algorand into it.
That's my 2 cents.
And yes, I'm happy Algorand has a new CEO. Doesn't mean I can't criticize some decisions

Okay, so... Algorand needs to really reconsider how it fits into agentic commerce.
x402 is a request-response flow. At 2.9s per round, a tool loop of a few dozen calls picks up a minute in pure block latency before you count signing, facilitator round trips, etc.
It's competing with other blockchains that are much faster and have deterministic finality also. Arc’s own docs put finality in under a second -- they've benchmarked like ~350ms.
"Seconds" is not machine speed. It might be fine for AI-assisted human checkout.
But the bigger problem is that Algorand is outside of the Arc/CCTP ecosystem. So an agent that gets paid in USDCa doesn't have access to the same burn-and-mint path every other major USDC chain uses. It's walled off.
Saying this in the spirit of "tough love" because Algorand has a limited runway, limited amount of time to find revenue, and I haven't seen good answers to these problems, yet it's a major component of the strategy and spend.
That doesn't mean Algorand is precluded from the agentic ecosystem entirely -- maybe it finds value as a layer above or below that takes advantage of its public, decentralized validators (vs Arc's data center chain), or PQ accounts, or atomic settlement, or something else.
This 👇. It makes ZERO sense for the new @AlgoFoundation CEO to not be on X, where 95%+ of the crypto audience is. Does anyone know why?
