Great pleasure to connect with a full house of 3,000 registrants at the Electricity Transformation Canada Summit in Toronto. Thank you to the Canadian Renewable Energy Association for convening many industry leaders, innovators and investors and allowing me to share details on our National Electricity Strategy and to draw attention to the enormous opportunities underway across our country.

The Department of National Defence continues to work closely with the Government of Alberta and local authorities. Thank you to first responders, Canadian Armed Forces members, and provincial officials for their efforts.
To the families and everyone in Wainwright: Canada stands with you.
Great pleasure to attend the annual Korean Harvest Festival hosted by the Korean Canadian Cultural Association (KCCA) and celebrate the rich diversity, traditions, and heritage that bring our community together.
Canada’s new government is cutting unnecessary red tape to save Canadians and businesses time and money.
With the recent introduction of Bill S-7, the Cutting Red Tape for All Canadians Act, we’re proposing changes across 11 federal departments and agencies to streamline services, support farmers and businesses, and create more opportunities for economic growth.

We ran on a promise to cut red tape. To remove arduous, duplicative regulations across government.
We’re keeping that promise — and making the big, necessary changes that will help us build, invest, and deliver faster.
We’re cutting red tape.
Canada’s government introduced the Cutting Red Tape for all Canadians Act.
Building on existing progress, we’re targeting over 30 laws to make it easier for Canadians to access services and spend less time on paperwork.
Including in sectors like agriculture, fisheries, mining and telecommunications.
Canada strong for all.

September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, first and still known as Orange Shirt Day. This is a day of somber reflection and commemoration honouring the Survivors of the residential school system, the children who never returned home, along with their families and communities.
This day also reminds us that “Every Child Matters”.

One project. One decision. One year.
Through the Building Canada Strong Act, we are proposing a new approach to federal approvals for all projects.
Instead of multiple reviews and decisions which can take up to five years, consultations would be coordinated into one process, with a single federal decision made within one year.
That means project construction can begin faster, creating jobs and strengthening Canada’s economy.

Under the glow of the Mid-Autumn moon, families and communities come together in a celebration of reunion, harmony, and hope.
I was proud to rise in the House of Commons to recognize the Mid-Autumn Festival and extend my warmest wishes to all those celebrating in Willowdale, across Canada, and around the world.
May the moonlight bring good health, peace, and prosperity—and remind us that, no matter the distance, we are all connected beneath the same luminous moon.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Came home from synagogue on Yom Kippur to see the horrific and despicable news about the shooting at Sons of Jacob synagogue in Belleville. One police officer was shot and our hearts are with him as we pray for a speedy recovery. We all stand with the devastated community.
On September 20, at sunset, Jewish communities across Canada and around the world will begin observing Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement and the holiest day of the Jewish year. It is also a period devoted to reflection, repentance, and making amends with others.
To all those observing Yom Kippur, G'mar Chatima Tova.
