Please make sure you wear your masks (and your pants) correctly. Please also RT to remind others to do the same.

Clinical staff have been rightly praised over the last few months. But please also remember those working behind he scenes. Like the hundreds of IT staff who keep hospital systems running and ensure clinical staff receive your test results. Please spare a RT for all of them.

As you enjoy a sunny Saturday with your family and friends, please spare a RT for all the NHS staff who will be working today. This includes members of our team like Katie below, a children’s doctor from Leeds.

Good example - I eat boringly healthily and don’t drink. Not a single bit of sugar has passed my lips in a long time except for the odd bit of dark chocolate. Being bigger doesn’t mean people are scoffing their faces. And if weight gain is caused by that - still no shame.

Lest this helps anyone: I’ve put on 40 pounds. I want to lose it as I feel less me. And it’s vital to be audaciously free to be ourselves. But whilst I reside in a bigger body I will not feel shame. There are many complex reasons for weight gain and losing it can be hard for many.

As someone's health cannot be determined merely by sight, it is not up to you to choose who gets to feel positive about themselves and who doesn't. Someone's weight does not lessen their worth or deservedness of love, respect and positivity.

Personally, I’d prefer not to see photos of clinically obese people regardless of their skin colour, thanks. I also don’t think we should encourage women or men, black or white, to feel “positive” about having a grossly overweight, unhealthy body. I’d rather they lived longer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'M SO SICK OF THIS. Invalidating our feelings, and more than that, our truth. I get the same- a push back and then when I politely explain things in a well thought out way (COS I HAVE LIVED IT FOR 34 YEARS) I receive silence at best, anger at worst. & v.little support. Boring.

Random Person in my DMs- “Maybe what’s happened to you are isolated events? Just at those particular theatres?” Me- “Every Black person I know in the industry has these stories. From drama schools, to film/tv, to Broadway and the West End.” Them- But Me- EVERY SINGLE ONE.

The irony of having a national clap for the NHS less than 24 hours after scenes like this is not lost on us. So as well as clapping today, please RT and remind your friends and family that this is nowhere near over and we still need your help. #ClapForTheNHS

It’s heartbreaking to know that more than 5,000 people have unfollowed us just because we could no longer follow everyone back. Please follow and RT if you’re still right behind us. The more followers we have, the more we can do for the NHS.

This is @amy_leigh2511 - one of my @Seedtime2020 students. I think she’s insanely talented, I just wish she agreed with me & now she’s graduated into this madness. Please elevate & amplify this Queen so she can use this period to learn her worth & then take the industry by STORM!
