Change is possible when voices rise together. Speaking up against FGM saves lives and protects girls. #EndFGM #ZeroToleranceToFGM

To #EndFGM, men should also teach the next generation. Raise boys to respect bodily autonomy, consent, and the law, so that the cycle ends with them.
Men of influence should use it where it matters. Elders, teachers, faith leaders...
All hands on deck.
Asking not so easy questions about FGM today.
What role should men play to end it?
❗️Speak up. Call out FGM as abuse & dangerous
❗️Be allies. Stand with girls, mothers, and survivors
❗️Challenge harmful masculinity. Myths that link FGM to control of women’s bodies

Elders, youth, survivors & faith leaders at one table. When a whole community says “FGM ends with us”- that’s when real change happens. I fully support their determination to protect the next generation. This is why we do this work. #BornPerfect 🇪🇺🇳🇴🇰🇪@NorwayAmbKenya @ChiggaiCS

Come to think of it, are there any anti-FGM chapters in the Kenyan educational curriculum? I only remember learning in History about communities that practise FGM, but not about the effects. Why have the "experts" deliberately avoided this if we need to #EndFGM?

On campus, we had a friend called Branice. She was Maasai. She ran away from home at the age of 8, when we was to be circumcised and then married off. She grew up, went to university, and in November 2024, I met her in the streets of Berlin. She brought her mother too. #EndFGM
