No issue with Farke setting realistic expectations but this constant reminder is a bore. Not expecting a sudden title charge rally cry but give the fans and team something to publicly show the ambition.
Also, he wouldn’t play the expensive attackers if we even had them.

Daniel Farke: “I'm the manager of a side who has struggled for 30 years to play 2 solid seasons on PL level. I accept that we don't have offensive-wise individual quality where a player who costs £100m who has a moment of magic and wins this game.” #LUFC [via @isaacjohnsonLL]
That’ll be Bijol’s last appearance of the season then.
Jaka Bijol: “Last season we were satisfied with it [one point] but this season is a little bit different. We have to want it more at the end to take those three points, to change the mentality a little bit and to make that next step in our evolution as a team.” #LUFC
We’ve played four of the bottom five and only one won. How long before we address the elephant?
#LUFC
Regular occurrence really. Overall picture is good despite how poor the games are.
1 win in 8. 2 losses in 8.
Middle ground really. Which, if it pushes us to mid-table, that’s fine.
#LUFC
An overall poor half in difficult conditions. Not doing anything with the ball, Wilson not involved and #11 may as well not play.
Need someone to grab this game in the middle.

Watching Nmecha, Aaronson and Longstaff trying to lead the attack on Sunday 😬
This is the chance to get Bahoya and Wilson in. Get two wide(r) players in and give us a fresh boost of creativity.

DF: "All offensive players are doubtful, Calvert-Lewin is struggling with a bruise on his foot. Still a question mark behind his availability.
"Stach has a foot problem, and Okafor has some adductor problems. If game was today, nonne would play" #lufc

Home draws against Man United and Palace really look like below par results given their recent form. Can’t win every game but won’t get too many better lineups form wise.
#LUFC
Still struggling to decide how I feel after yesterday’s result and the wider topic of the start of the season.
Happy with our points total? Yes.
1 loss in 7? Yes.
Performances? 50:50
1 win in 7? No.
Next five games will truly tell us where we’re at. Hoping for 3 wins.

🫡 Ethan Ampadu starts as captain for the 100th time, becoming the youngest player to reach that milestone since Billy Bremner!
Second half better for 20 minutes but lost the momentum after.
You take not losing but if you want to take that step forward, you start taking a risk with the subs.
Wouldn’t even be risks by the way. Our two attacking signings of the summer but don’t get minutes.
#LUFC
Bogle is our only attacking threat today. GG and Okafor can’t get in the game, Stach not influencing anything. No one getting close to DCL again.
Need a change and quickly.

The Pickford vs Trafford debate has taken a serious slip with both making errors recently. Would rather it be for their good performances.
Love the mentality but why is it always Tanaka getting dragged into it? 😂
#LUFC
Farke says Tanaka often needs arm around shoulder, but doesn't want him getting soft.
"Spotted him in 25C in gloves. 'You're not Suzuki or a GK!'. I took the gloves! If someone thinks we can afford 1% less or can be a bit soft, I will make sure that this won't happen." #lufc
Definitely deserved the deal. Taken a step forward each season *looking likely* we will do it again.
Timing is odd, maybe could’ve waited to see how the season is panning out but gives the players and staff clarity to focus on the goal.

Daniel Farke and Leeds United have reached an agreement in principle on a new contract running to 2029.
Paperwork to be finalised and signed, but there is broad agreement on the structure of the new terms.#lufc nytimes.com/athletic/7665636…
Have to feel for the Manchester United squad that they’ve only got the *checks notes* second highest net spend in the last five years.
Tough going out there.
Ignoring the blatant reason these scenarios are different, it’s interesting they’ve used a clip of Konsa fouling DCL with no punishment to try and get at refs.

Great for 60 minutes then poor for 30.
Only criticism is around subs again. Goal and three subs and we wait for nearly 10 minutes to get (imo the wrong) subs on. Not learnt from Chelsea.
Not a game we expected anything from anyway but gave a brave, strong performance.
