This year I have samples 2700+ ears and over the last 4 years 10k+. Weather, disease, insects, genetics and management decisions impact yield. All those ears have made a number of complexities simple to understand. Hopefully this year’s insights (& #G3 ) will help you in 2027.
One and done N programs run a lot of risk if the weather isn’t favorable and yields have huge swings in the field. New technology like Pivot’s gene edited microbes can open up new opportunities and build resiliency across every acre. #G3 #4R xitter.cf/AllenP08/status/210651…

With the pending weather it can be easy to focus on covering the acres the next few days, but that extra 20 minutes to walk behind and adjust can go a long way
Extreme example here, but the harvest loss is popping up at levels higher than ideal. 2 kernels / ft^2 ~ 1 bu/acre loss
A one size fits all plan might be easy yet it may not be the best approach. Each hybrid is unique and different N sources can enhance a hybrid’s performance. Pivot’s new MOA will help get the most out of every acre by helping to optimize each plant. #G3
Aug is coming to a close and crops will pull the last bits of fertility from the soil. The coming heat will aid in the dry down or could push yields. Does your crop still have any plant health left? #G3

Ken Ferrie looks at how an all up front nitrogen plan versus a split application has weathered the rains this year.
June has seen a lot of rain across IL. There is high variability in fields from flooding. Can your N sources deal with the N loss? How is this going to impact yields? Time will tell yet Pivot #G3 has been helping overcome some early stressful situations.
