8th gr students @TheVilleSMS completed the Save the Penguins Project! They tested conductors/insulators, created convection currents and built a penguin( ice penguin)house to reduce heat loss. Thank you @NJSEFinfo for the grant!
Why do we see color? SS enjoyed experimenting with different colored lights. It’s not easy to sort M&M’s under red, green and blue lights! @TheVilleSMS @scotthade
Working together to build a pumpkin catapult. What design works best? How far can you launch your pumpkin? Ss enjoyed the challenge.

Pack a lunch with no garbage?! No problem! 8th graders had no waste during our annual #EarthDay picnic. @VilleSchoolsNJ @TheVilleSMS – at Somerville, NJ
Super Bowl STEM-create a field goal post and football with given materials while following certain criteria and constraints. Can you flick the paper football through and make a field goal? Planning, cooperation and decision making led to a fun activity. @TheVilleSMS

Never forget that students, even the ones who try your patience, are just trying to figure out life. I have been around long enough to see some of them as adults & was amazed to see the wonderful adults they became. Patience is needed, especially for those who try your patience.

Lots of "Back to School" files are about to be sent out to staff...Before sending any @GoogleForEdu files that need to be copied, consider sharing the link to a TEMPLATE so people can see the file before making their copy. Eliminate unneeded copied files in Drives this way! Game changer for me and @IHMSMorrison! Just change the end of the link starting at edit to /template/preview 🤩 #googleET #googleEC @GoldEDULLC @JakeMillerTech @ClassTechTips
