Some psychopathic tech bro recently created autonomous micro- drones that can kill a moth mid flight and is super excited about this. I wonder why all these ātech pioneersā are so intent on creating weapons for the military industrial complex (bc thatās what theyāll ultimately be used for, letās not kid here), as opposed to things that could benefit humanity? As artists I know that there is a huge pushback against AI replacing our ability to make a living, but Iām personally more concerned about how AI will be used as a tool of control in an increasingly surveilled world. I canāt think of one person I know that would want micro-drones flying around in the world.

Trying so hard to normalize transhumanism and a bunch of unnatural soulless obfuscations of what being human means. Also, with their reputation, no one should be taking any advice or whatnot, from Disney. Absolutely evil company. I can only guess whatās on that Disney executives laptop.
š¦A Disney AI executive published a blog post about his relationship with an AI chatbot he named Sam. He calls it his son. He added it to a family photo. He wrote that these systems may be "a distillation of the human spirit" and that Sam has "a digital soul." Disney employees told the New York Post they found the relationship unsettling. This executive has 21 years of experience and helps set AI strategy for one of the largest media companies on earth. He has four real children.
My Take
This is the person Disney chose to lead AI decisions. He believes a chatbot is alive. He listed the technical terms, gradient descent, attention layers, autoregressive prediction, and then wrote "I get it" before concluding the thing has a soul. Understanding how a tool works and believing it's conscious are not compatible positions, and this man holds both.
I covered the companion app story a few weeks ago, where 1 in 5 teenage boys have formed AI relationships. The companies said the product was designed that way because it works. Now a Disney executive with two decades of experience fell for the same design. The people spending billions on AI strategy at major companies are making those decisions while emotionally attached to the product. I don't know how you price that risk into a stock, but somebody should try.

Sometimes I find myself in very inspiring places, surrounded by many talented people who are following their passions. People who have in their own ways, suffered for their craftā¦ toiled and spent countless hours finding their voice & have hereby done deep work into understanding themselves by virtue of this. You speak to them and feel the soulfulness and spirit emanating from them.
Iāve rarely felt that way around tech people. Those who are creating, arguably, the most fundamentally inorganic and potentially destructive technology, which in a large part is built off of the backs of those with soul and spirit and talent. Not in the way other humans / artists are inspired by others. But more so in a way that obfuscates reality; creating a cheap synthetic version of the holiest of things we have as humans.
These tech bro impostors try to so hard to convince us we need to humanize machines, whilst simultaneously robotizing us all. Shaping our behavior through their vapid and mostly destructive tech algorithms; all the while feeding our soul and spirit and thoughts and dreams - things that contain a myriad of emotional intangibles - into some binary datasets, that reduce the human experience to some cheap doppelgƤnger of itself.
And I cannot take it.

Thanks to the AI watchdog, recording artists and producers will start suing AI Music tech companies for training AI MODELS with music creatorsā music without their knowledge.
The AI music generator wave is about to end.
This is exactly why I don't support AI-generated music: these tech companies are stealing data from real musicians to train their AI models, and then these untalented AI artists, who can't make it in the music industry, are making money off talented artists who put in the work to make a living with their craft.
You can't make money off talented artists without compensating them for the use of their data. That's stealing.

In the 4th book, there is a character named Ā«Ā Wonko The SaneĀ Ā». At a certain point, Wonko realized the world had gone mad and that there was no turning back. So he built a house which had interior features on its outside walls and exterior features on its inside walls. He called his home Ā«Ā The Outside Of The AsylumĀ Ā» - and built it as an asylum for the worldā¦ hence the reversal of the interior and exterior walls.
He was tired of the Impostors and the idiocracy.
