Happy Birthday to Chris Lowe: Lowe-key one of the coolest entities walking the earth. I'll never not be stun-locked witnessing your genius live on stage - as has happened this year during the Obskur concert in Berlin. Best, most insane gig I've ever had the pleasure to attend.

"'Victimhood of the rabbit?' Hah! Ask the adder whose tail I've bitten off. Pity the Weasel who is continuing its pathetic dance in the ocean waves, drowned dead. Behold the wolf who suffocated on a piece of my ear. A Dune Rabbit doesn't care. For she knows how to survive."~

Tirah stared into the Goshawk's eyes, unabashed. Red eyes under stern, white brows - wise and insane at the same time. Thus was the nature of Goshawks. (...) "Brave birdie", the Goshawk buzzed. "I slurped the lot of you raw, right out of the egg."

Bryan Ferry and his Peregrine Falcon in Avalon (1982) #falconsinthemovies

Lounge Lizard, Slave to Love, King of Cool, Libra Guy. Bryan Ferry, turning 81 today. Please never stop the dance, good sir.

"My art is not abstract. It lives and breathes." - Mark Rothko, born on this day in 1903. Experiencing his art in person earlier this year in Florence was quite a treasure.

"He was a very rare creature. He was so internal and quiet that his inner life must have been sparkling." - Frank Oz Remembering the late Idea Man who walked the world as Jim Henson. He would have turned 90 today.

Entering Springsteen Day this year with one of my personal favourites. Never managed to read Grapes of Wrath (yet), but always loved the somberness of Springsteen's Tom Joad

Werner Herzog, turning 84 today~
