You weaken. I talk. '38 years?' you repeat. 'Yes, 38 years,' I reply. 'Why don't I remember?' 'Illness has #muddled your brain a bit.' 'Was it good?' I nod, unable. 'Well, that's a relief, 38 years is a damn long time.' 'A lifetime,' I say. You smile & close your eyes. #vss365

I’ve posted this before, but the empathy part seems absolutely crucial right now! My parenting/teaching advice is read stories to your children.Don’t stop when they can read. It will develop empathy, build confidence, increase vocabulary, spark their imaginations, help them fly.

I hope you're a #pixie in the next life, my lovely friend whose angel wings took her out of this world on Monday. I hope you sparkle like you did on Earth. I hope you find someone to do your hair just the way you want, & I hope you're smiling, dancing with waiting family. #vss365

Those people who make you #laugh? Keep them close. For laughter is the voice of joy & we all deserve to be joyful, at least sometimes. Spread your laughter around. Share it widely, loudly. And when you're asked to be quiet, take your laughter elsewhere, but never lose it. #vss365

Good Morning/Good Day #vss365 Community: Our July 30, 2025 #prompt word of the day is: #elm. Elm (noun): a type of deciduous tree characterized by its tall, spreading branches and hard, durable wood. Have a great day & happy writing! #vss365 #prompt #elm

A kiss under the tall #elm, & back then she didn't even know the name of the tree, just that it was the one she had her back pressed against when she received her first kiss, & now and ever since whenever she sees a tall elm she smiles & remembers the innocence of it all. #vss365

3 months of no art/print sales, very humbling, equally, worrying & hard to admit. We’re living in unprecedented times! Your support keeps my arty flame lit. If you can retweet this post for my art to travel thru twitter, maybe a painting will find a beautiful home. Thanks kindly.

Underneath a #sapphire sky, all the colours of the rainbow radiate. Fusing, blending, bleeding. And these are just the humans. As for nature, as always it's the epitome of beauty. A glistening rainbow, a copse of many greens, a desert of browns - golden in its vastness. #vss365

In the end, she ate like a #sparrow. We all remembered the many meals she had prepared for us on such a tiny budget. But we never went hungry. And as the end approached we coaxed her to eat, & she shook her head & said, just a tiny bit please. And so it was. Sparrow-like. #vss365

Holidays have a way of distilling time into moments that feel richer and more memorable. Whether it’s sharing laughter around a dinner table, reconnecting with loved ones, or simply pausing the rush to appreciate life’s quiet joys. These chapters need to be bottled and relished.❤️
