KENYA-EU RELATIONS STRENGTHENED Kenya-EU relationship is strongest in a decade, anchored on trade, investment shift, and Kenya as EU hub for Global Gateway. EU is Kenya's largest single export destination and strategic bilateral partner. The EPA grants Kenya duty-free, quota-free for all exports to 27-member EU market and since ratification two years ago, our trade has grown by 20% now at almost 4 Billion dollars. Our security and defence cooperation is equally robust, as is our engagement at multilateral level, including under the recently launched, Partnership for Multilateralism (P4M). Congratulations to Navi Pillay on the well-deserved Nobel Peace Prize. Navi Pillay dedicated her life to upholding justice and protecting human dignity, from her role as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to her work on accountability for the genocide in Rwanda. She has shown the world that the quest for justice and the quest for peace are one and the same. At a moment where international law is under attack, along with the institutions that exist to uphold it, her work should serve as an inspiration to us all.
