My first jazz guru was my older brother, @GSS1958, who gifted me this doubleLP reissue called COLTRANE (Prestige, 1972), which was a repackaging of Traning In and Soultrane. I remember saying “Red Garland?” And he said “I envy you hearing him for the first time.” Superb album!
What was the first Coltrane record you ever owned?
