Housing is a right, not a commodity. Under international law, to be adequately housed means not having to worry about being evicted.

So good to meet families @AnakaCollective today Children seeking asylum, refugees or labeled as newcomers face devastating rights violations. Barriers to education, & unsafe living conditions are unacceptable. Every child deserves safety, dignity. @nichildcom are concerned

Education is an inherent human right, fundamental to all, irrespective of borders or circumstances. Whilst deeply grateful, @AnakaCollective @YallaaNI , it is not the responsibility of the third sector in NI/UK to 'do the heavy lifting' and provide education for those ESOL 16+ teenagers, currently in 'educational limbo'. Alternative pathways of progression are required and possible. #theyhaveaspirations #notdeficient #notinvisible @Education_NI @Economy_NI @RefugeeEdUK @Post16Educator @natecla_ioi @nateclascotland @NATECLA @ActionforESOL @ESOLEngland @ESOLallstars @EFALondon @LearnWorkUK
