Has anybody ever used #python to automatically create objects in @salesforce ? Looking to use their API to create tasks based on data in @SnowflakeDB and don't want to use third party tooling
Can we all agree that companies that claim the only way to move up is to be in office are going to lose the talent competition? If the pandemic has taught us anything, it's that people can have ambition and be great leaders from the comfort of their own home y'all

Anybody have any good resources for managing data teams?

To every company offering "wellness stipends" to fight burnout: Funding gym visits, vacations, and healthy meals is a bandage, not a cure. If you really care about well-being, you might want to stop overloading people with grueling work and subjecting them to abusive bosses.

Think about why you interviewed elsewhere. It's unlikely the answer is simply "money" but if it is, that is PERFECTLY okay. "I don't like the work culture" doesn't magically get fixed if you get a raise and a promotion.

If you don't laugh at your bosses joke about running a hellish analytics project for the 100th time, are you even a data analyst?

So are we at the point in #Analytics where we're calling every job a Data Scientist even if there's not machine learning or AI work involved?

You know, working remote is really nice until shit hits the fan in a meeting and you start to pm other people about the person throwing a temper tantrum only to realize that you're still sharing your screen. And MS Teams is on that screen. And the meeting is being recorded 💀💀💀

I have a coworker who is in their first job out of college and is getting frustrated because they believe we're not doing 'actual analytics' projects due to the way our end users are consuming data. What do you think 'analytics' is for an entry level analyst job?

Does anyone have a good resource on operational analytics? We're moving from primarily excel based and out of the box reporting into Tableau. Main data sources are Salesforce and calls from our call center (Genesys)
This may be a niche question but does anyone have experience writing @SnowflakeDB functions for turning formatted phone numbers into only numbers? We have a few queries where we join on phone number so see if it's been verified but the numbers are stored differently in each table

Hey Snowflake peeps, how do you all save your queries outside of the UI/Snowsight? Seems un-intuitive to copy and paste into a .txt file everytime I want to save on a shared drive (or in git) or share a query with a co-worker

Hey everyone, looking for a tableau hack. We have some end users who need the ability to see low-level metrics on a schedule. They don't need a license because they're never going to dig into the data. Is there a way to set up a license for a distribution list?

Hey, @Starbucks, what's the point of having online ordering if your stores can turn the function off whenever they want?

And with Vice President @KamalaHarris casting the crucial tie-breaking vote, at 5:30am after 14 hours of debate, the Senate has passed a $1.9 trillion budget for COVID relief. Georgia voters made this possible.

Today I was giving a presentation to my entire team and my wireless headphones (in the case) decided to connect randomly to my computer and I talked without a mic for 5 mins So that's how my Friday has been going
