I've been working on structural integrity and stress simulation for the last couple of weeks. Still not sure this is viable for a full game in terms of performance, but maybe. Can now handle one building at 60 fps, but still a lot of optimizations left.

Showing off two unique features of my #threejs Advanced Glass Material: colored caustics and glass-to-glass interaction. The glass can actually “see” other glass objects in the scene, preserving their depth, internal reflections, and refractions. The green color being visible through the blue glass shows the color and depth interaction. Powered by #WebGPU and a lot of custom rendering work that I learned on #threejsJourney new TSL lessons from the GOAT @bruno_simon Live demo coming soon. #creativecoding

⚡️WebGPU Glass Material Update See it live: webgpu-glass-material.vercel… This new #threjs material provides extra depth by adding recursive transmission support, allowing glass objects to see and refract other glass and transparent surfaces, also bringing chromatic aberration and full #webgpu / TSL compatibility. More about it in the comments 😊

#threejs Cyberpunk update ⚡ Live demo: threejspunk.vercel.app Added a few new visual themes. Color grading completely changes the atmosphere from Silent Hill to Sin City vibes. One detail most people missed: the raindrops sliding across the car. It took way more work than I'd like to admit, so it definitely deserved a close-up 😅 #WebGPU #threejsJourney #creativecoding

New WebGPU Glass Material is almost ready! It will be available for @threejs and @pmndrs React Three Fiber. Lots of customization; it comes with a very beautiful and handy control panel. Live link and source code will be available on Monday 😊 #threejsJourney #creativecoding #webgpu

Cyberpunk-ish ⚡️ Maybe not an entire city…but at least one rainy alley built with #threejs + WebGPU that weighs only 15 MB. Live link: threejspunk.vercel.app/ This is also a sneak peek at some of the techniques that @sea3dformat and I will be covering during our workshop at @threejsconf. More on that below 🤗 I hope you like it #WebGPU #creativecoding #threejsJourney

Live link: lumen-decor-studio-2.vercel.… Built to showcase what's possible with real-time WebGPU rendering using #threejs. Just a 6.3 MB download, yet the lighting looks baked—until you grab the sun and watch everything update in real time. I hope you like it 🤗

My #threejs Lumen Decor Studio is getting an update. Added a denoiser to the SSGI pass + better AO. I love how light bounces cascade on objects. It looks like Blender Cycles for the Browser 😍. Everything you see is rendered in real time and loads only 6.7 MB. Rendering SSGI + AO + SSR + Denoisers + Probes. You can manipulate objects, colors, sun, and sky all in real time. No baking at all. Live link soon.

Playing with Ecctrl 2.0 from @AndrewChenE and I have it wired up to a Synty character and Synty's locomotion animations. Ecctrl feels really solid in the way it interacts with physics objects, especially moving objects. Synty's animation pack has literally hundreds of clips for transitions between idle/walk/run/crouch/jump and changing direction, walking up/down at an angle, and so on. I have most of them hooked up.

🚀 I'm launching r3f-webgpu-perf today! "npm i r3f-webgpu-perf" One thing I missed while working with WebGPU in React Three Fiber was a performance monitor similar to r3f-perf. The existing tool is fantastic, but it doesn’t support the WebGPU renderer yet. So I decided to build one. ✅ Supports both WebGL and WebGPU ✅ Modern and customizable UI ✅ Lightweight and easy to integrate ✅ Built specifically for React Three Fiber My goal is to turn r3f-webgpu-perf into more than just a metrics dashboard. I want it to become a learning tool that provides real-time optimization suggestions based on the techniques I’ve developed while building hundreds of interactive 3D projects over the last two decades. A vanilla Three.js version is also planned. If you’re building with Three.js, React Three Fiber, or WebGPU, I’d love for you to try it and share your feedback. ⭐ GitHub: github.com/ektogamat/r3f-web… 📦 NPM: npmjs.com/package/r3f-webgpu… Every GitHub star helps make the tool better for the entire community. #threejs #creativecoding #webgpu #r3f

Ported Google's Draco decoder to pure JavaScript. mrdoob.github.io/draco.js/ 4.3× smaller than the WASM build, byte-for-byte identical output, often faster once you factor in load, init and parse.

Another #threejs #tsl exercise ready to be written. Introducing physics using compute. It's the naive approach, but it runs 10000 spheres easily.

🏎️The redesigned wheel system is finally working! Instead of direct velocity control, wheels now spin and create grip. It feels physics-driven and fits the controller better. Ecctrl 2.0 + demo coming soon. Stay tuned! #threejs #threejsJourney #webdev #r3f #ecctrl #opensource

My #threejs Lumen Decor Studio is getting an update. It will now support more settings and more complex scenes, thanks to the latest library updates. I'm combining #WebGPU SSGI with light probes, giving us the best of both worlds. Real-time light bounces via SSGI, and when the camera stops moving, I bake probes to measure the average light in the room, generating fill lights that paint an envmap. I also created a denoiser for SSGI, avoiding the previous blur that discarded the AO. Now, everything is lighter, a little noisier, but it complements indirect light well. Live link coming soon. BTW: The video is on my YouTube Channel in case you want to watch it in a higher resolution: youtu.be/cDYIdId3XSY #creativecoding #archiviz #WebGPU
