Knew Eric a good long time. He taught me what makes a winning audition. He encouraged me when I was just a kid. Eric Bauza was such a good guy. Too god damned early. We were supposed to get a drink. He invited me out, but we got too busy. We never got a picture together, just us. I'll regret that. Rest well, Eric. Everyone's brother, everyone's cool uncle. I'm going to miss you horribly. I'm sorry, I'm usually better with these... It's just been too many deaths in such a short time. Words fail. My chest is caving in.

Gracias, amigo. My life was immeasurably changed for the better by having met Eric Bauza in 2003. He just made everything he worked on better. A generational talent. A legend. I would write and design characters giddy thinking how he would bring them to life. And behind the scenes, an incredibly kind, humble and open-hearted good dude. How luck we all were to have been able to witness his talent shine. And boy did it shine!!! My heart goes out to his family and friends. Adios, amigo. You will never be forgotten.

Here’s my singing audition that helped me book “Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical ” — with screenplay and lyrics by Emmy Award winner Ariel Dumas (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) and music and orchestration by Pulitzer Prize, Tony and Grammy winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal). Wish we could’ve seen this one come to fruition — would’ve been a good one 🎞️ 🎥 🍿 🥕🐰#StandWithAnimation @papertiki

When I first met Eric Bauza a few years ago, he asked for a photo with me because he was grateful for the early COYOTE VS. ACME support on DF. I couldn't believe he was the one asking for a photo but he was really that kind. No one cared more about Looney Tunes than him, truly.

The fact that he got to see COYOTE VS. ACME released and universally praised is such an amazing thing. Last time I spoke to him I told him how my amc screening was filled with so many kids and families and he almost couldn't believe it still.

I am utterly speechless. We were just hanging out at the Forgotten Island premiere, sharing so many stories about the long road to releasing Coyote vs. Acme. Shit, I was supposed to interview him this week for Daffy Season. I'm in tears, rip to a true legend.
Eric Bauza has sadly passed away at the age of 46. The modern voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck alongside many other beloved characters.

Travis Knight says the final battle in ‘WILDWOOD’ is the most difficult sequence ever made at LAIKA. “It required us to use every single technique… It's a combination of hand drawn animation, stop-motion animation, CG animation & it’s something to behold.”

Last night felt like a movie. Definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen Gorillaz throw in LA.
Could this be the best setlist and lineup of the tour? Insane 😭 Gorillaz setlist + all the special guests from the Los Angeles show at the Kia Forum, posted by No-Arugula-2744 on Reddit

muted it. But I essentially had random DC fans send death threats to me, my family, my non existing children and try to end my career because I thought Clayface had poor pacing. Reeks of misogyny plus his issue is no one follows my RT?
This is one of the reasons I hate Axel, this critic gave a fair criticism and now he’s making a post on this critic clearly to spread hate towards her. Fuck this dude and those who follow him.

Kinda wild when you put it that way...
When a movie like 'Clayface', primarily sold on the DC Comics brand, still opens below 'Other Mommy' and sells fewer tickets than 'Catwoman,' that’s a verdict on the IP and the whole caped-crusading sub-genre...

Can’t stop watching this video of Sacha Baron Cohen trying to use Noel Gallagher to promote Ali G at AMC Empire 25 last night, except no one in the audience appears to really know who Noel is reddit.com/r/NYCmovies/comme…

Travis Knight tells us why he wanted to adapt Colin Meloy’s ‘WILDWOOD’ novel into a massive stop-motion animated film. “It felt like it was breathing the same air as all these classic fantasies and fairytales that I loved my entire life, like Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, or Frank Baum.”

While I don’t agree with this take, it’s not surprising that some folks feel this way since Romulus was built as a gateway into the franchise for a whole new generation. It would be counterintuitive to leave Rain and Andy out of this sequel, they should be the ones facing David!
>Scott makes Alien >Instant classic forever >Makes Prometheus >Fucks the franchise up >Makes Covenant to apologise >Fans reject it >Alvarez is given a shot >Scott instructs him to not "fuck it up" >Alvarez makes a better Alien film than Scott did in 40 years. >Scott kicks him out

It’s been really interesting seeing the Alien fandom online be divided between the younger folks who got into the series with Romulus and the older fans who hated it and have been dying to see David again. Either way, it shouldn’t be taking this long to make another movie.
