A big thank you to all of our volunteers, the Community Foundation for Muskegon County, Muskegon County Parks , and Top-Tier Outdoor Services LLC! Yesterday we planted 212 trees at Dune Harbor Park, bringing the project’s total to just over 1,700 trees. We also welcomed three new musician-planted trees to the project: The Pops Tree, planted by Brian Stevens and The Secrets The Cocoon Tree, planted by Christine Mattson Music The Big Dill, planted by Nate Dill These trees will be propagated, added to the natives collection in our nursery, and one day be used for future plantings or available for purchase by friends, family and fans.

Our next tree planting will take place Saturday, October 17th at Dune Harbor Park in Muskegon. 112 Trees will be planted in the area highlighted green. We have 6 musicians and bands who will be planting their tree for the Lads Reforestation Project. This tree planting is made possible through a $2,000 grant from the Muskegon Community Foundation and $1,000 raised from our last fundraising event. If you are in the area and would like to join us we will be meeting at the Seminole entrance at 10 a.m. Tools and gloves will be provided.

Huge thank you to our sponsors, artists, volunteers and community. We cannot do this without you! This season, seven new businesses joined us, four new bands, over a dozen new artists, and more local partners than ever stepped forward to support our work: planting and protecting trees in our urban forest, feeding our neighbors, and lifting up independent artists in our community. We are truly honored by your generosity. Together you contributed more than $1,000 in door prizes, played dozens of songs and showcased your beautiful art which helped us raise over $1,000 toward our next tree planting. Thank you. We are proud to grow alongside you. When a community puts down roots together, it doesn’t just survive—it becomes a forest that shelters, feeds, and lifts everyone who stands in its shade.
