A little odd how quiet the discourse is on this. It was loud as hell when it was the other way around. I get it. The Thunder are the villains and Chet played poorly in a way more meaningful games, but still… damn, no love at all?!
Victor Wembanyama tonight: 1/13 FG 0/4 3PT 4 turnovers Silenced by the Big Oxtail

Excuse me?! Still unable to comprehend, but I don’t need to! It’s just the internet!! Pursue what you love relentlessly. No one thinks ab you. I mean that in the nicest way possible.

SGA is so damn good and idgaf ab whatever people try to make his game about. When you’re the best on the best team (when healthy) you got a target on your back. There’s truth to the hate, like there always is, but don’t dismiss the excellence.

idk what it is with Tatum, but for some reason his misses feel like 1.25 misses when you watch it. It might be the ball hanging in the air. I can't quite put my finger on it, but his misses all hit a little different in an attention grabbing way.

A majority of half a billion dollars going to the Thompson family in one offseason is still hilarious and unfathomable. What a time to be a Thompson.

Such an interesting team that won't win a majority of games, but I'll tune in for. A bit like the Wizards last season for me. I love watching a few players become real pieces of the puzzle for the future.
2026-27 Chicago Bulls Over/Under: 31.0 What's your take on this Bulls squad?

I lean pretty heavily toward the idea that the game provides opportunities and that players aren't just victims of circumstance. And I'm not saying Knecht played well enough to break through every barrier in front of him. But man, talk about an uphill battle. Gets drafted by the Lakers, shows some promise as a rookie, gets packaged in a trade that falls through, and has to pretend the Lakers hadn't already fully committed to moving him. Meanwhile, his opportunities shrink, while the franchise commits a guaranteed contract and roster spot to a player who could've been written into Bron's contract like a toy in a happy meal. Again, Knecht didn't exactly force their hand with his play. But it's hard not to look at how all of this played out and wonder how different his career might look if he'd landed somewhere else.

Ryan Conwell has made the most of every opportunity Miami has given him so far. Preseason is preseason, but stepping in with the starters and immediately knocking down three straight threes is exactly how a second-round pick makes leaving him out of the rotation tough on the coaching staff. I called him a steal right after the draft. Still a long way to go, but he’s making that take look good right now. #ryanconwell #miamiheat #nba #basketballanalysis #nbapreseason

I love Duncan Robinson. I love how his shooting can pile onto runs. I love how his shooting can stop runs. The guy can play. He is underrated in other areas of his game too. He is only slightly below average putting it on the deck and is solid finding the right guy - after drawing the defense out beyond the arc, of course. That said, as long as he is the starting 2 guard, the pistons don’t have real finals aspirations - even with Cade and Thompson being who they are and Duren improving his playoff performance. Bridges or Hart would go at him tirelessly and he does a well below overage job defensively. Not being in the wrong spot, but simply needing help and the defense to shift to help with matchups even better defenders would struggle with. Harper, Castle, Fox, Vassell, SGA, Jdub, Caruso, Wallace, Brunson, Hart, Bridges, Mitchell, Harden, LaMelo, Ant, McDaniels, Paul George, Tatum, White, JB, Maxey. All guards that have “deep run in the playoffs” on their minds heading into the season, that I don’t like the matchup.
Predict the Detroit Pistons season. đź‘€ I'll start: 53-29 with an ECF appearance

mannnn I’m such a downer. A lot can happen with the franchise and the mix in 82+ games. I’m all in either way.

You'd think there might be a little bit of an "okay, I've made it" mentality. "Still some outside shooting and other things to work on, sure, but damn, I've already proven I can perform on the biggest stage. Something most players spend their entire careers chasing." Instead, Dylan Harper plays every possession like he's mad at the rim and the defender just said, "what are you gonna do ab it?" Clearly cut from the same cloth as pops. Nothing but respect for the young legend in SA.
It’s official: Dylan Harper will be starting alongside De’Aaron Fox for the Spurs on opening night.

Never even slightly getting used to this. A year ago I’d think 100% AI - never gonna happen.

No chance in the world Tre Donaldson gives this up after Danny Wolf is forced to switch onto him. Sometimes with basketball, it's the little things.

Franz has some of the best hands I have ever seen for a player his size. That is all for now.

love what I am seeing out of Jase Richardson. He has leveled up his creation for others, which was already solid.
