Chelsea fans are now inventing things to be upset about.
Would they put the FA Cup bottom of the priority list? Or the league?
Or would they prefer Alonso lies to them to make them feel better about their insecuties?
Our fanbase is insufferable after a defeat.
3 man midfield provided a lot more stability than the Spurs shambles.
If fans want more attacking players to start then pick something to go:
1. Midfield stability
2. One of Rogers or Palmer
3. Any protection for Josh at RB
So pick one if you want Estevao to start.
🚨Xabi Alonso: “We produced a good performance, an improvement, we played with courage. The game was very close. It's a small setback in this competition.” [@BobbyVincentFL]
Fofana is the face of Clearlake's Chelsea.
Loud, expensive, unreliable and keeps making moronic mistakes.
That shootout had to end this way.
A 2 man midfield just got exposed by Spurs so Alonso needs 3 in there.
And Estevao was appalling against Leeds whilst showing he refuses to track back and be a team player.
Put both together and he’s not a starter.
Estevao Willian must be getting a rather sore behind with all the sitting he’s been doing at #CFC this season.
This XI is more than good enough to win if we take tonight seriously.
If we make more basic mistakes we’ll lose badly and it’ll get ugly.
No excuses for Palmer and the rest this weekend. Carrick is still there. The players have still downed tools. We simply have to beat Utd.
Hiding behind a Joao Pedro injury won’t be tolerated.
🚨 Michael Carrick will be given chance to turn results around.
Carrick is taking training at Carrington, staff + players preparing #MUFC for Saturday trip to Chelsea.
More @TheAthleticFC soon.
We demolished Bournemouth. And look what Utd served up.
Dreadful result for us.
Utd get yet another new manager bounce next week. They’ll beat us as they always do. And then we get the baton as the shambolic club of the week.
God this is tiresome.
‘Spurs dominated in every area.’ Ask yourself why they dominated after dropping Solanke and choosing to play without a striker.
It really isn’t difficult to understand.
If Welbeck was the answer what happened at Brentford?
🤦♂️Xabi Alonso left more questions than answers after last night. The choice to play without a recognised striker and then to persist with it, is a huge flag. Tottenham dominated every area. My comment for @AbsoluteChelsea roundtable.io/sports/soccer/…
Losing Joao Pedro shouldn’t mean imploding twice in London derbies.
Spurs dominated us without a striker and we could have used the exact same system as them.
It’s possible to win with two number 10s and two wingers as Spurs proved.
#CFC ’s miserable day started with Joao Pedro being left out of the squad. Xabi Alonso has confirmed the striker will have tests tomorrow to check on the severity. nytimes.com/athletic/7720435…
These fans must have missed the Brentford game. Welbeck saved us that day eh?
We could have matched Spurs up with a box midfield, two wingers staying wide and no striker and actually had some of the ball.
Chucking a striker on changes nothing if you don’t touch the ball.
For fans who think a striker changes that game, why did De Zerbi drop Solanke today?
Spurs dominated *because* they didn’t have a striker.
Welbeck walking around with Rogers and Palmer would only have made it easier for Spurs. They wanted us to empty midfield.
Penders and Joao Pedro are sideshows.
Spurs' box midfield with Tonali, Fernandes, Maddison and Marmoush dominating Henderson and Caicedo decided the game. We never touched the ball!
You can't get a striker into the game let alone win it if you never see the ball!

Well that's not going to help Penders' confidence.
That was Kepa levels of appalling.
