I went to visit the @RelayHumanCloud office in Ahmedabad,India. Our dedicated resources were working for 56 companies (you've heard of most of them), public and private, small and gigantic. Ahmedabad has over 9m people, has been growing by over 200k per year, has one of the best business colleges in India and is in the dry state of Gujarat. No hangovers. Most of our associates live with their parents until they are married, don't drink, and eat vegetarian. This is the Shanghai-La of productivity. And they are really into AI.
If you are in retail, you should experience the IconSiam mall in Bangkok. It's one of the most interesting developments in retail I have ever seen. It's a gigantic version of Rick Caruso's masterpiece The Grove in LA. Built for $1.5B In 2018, it has an authentic local market on the ground level and a giant concert hall on the top. 150 restaurants. I've never seen anything like it at this scale. Gleaming venue stretching from street food to Gucci. Reminds me of the song Scarlet Begonias. "Once in a while. You get shown the light. In the strangest of places. In September of last year, we used AI 524 times at Boxer Property. In January 2025, we used AI 81,977 times. If each occurrence saved 2 or 3 minutes, it's like 20 full time employees. The huge benefit is it made our offshore resources from Relay Human Cloud super efficient.
Some of these uses are automated and some are prompted by users. My favorite AI use is called "Nudge". It identifies a project that needs a push, including who can do what to move it forward. It's more polite than I am!
Mind the gap! The price of Big Macs in my 22 U.S secret locations is rising at twice the rate of the CPI. I propose that the Big Mac comprises a very balanced bundle of goods and services, consumed in the same way every time. Yes?
