Wow, today's comet over Calgary (C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) has a sunward spike (or anti-tail). Never saw such a feature before. Stack of 12 for 5sec in DSS #yyc #CometATLAS
Yesterday I finished painting the wall in my workroom with the color "approaching storm", an in the very moment this monster approached with a huge hail. #abstorm
There are some things you really can do, something what every decent human being should in this situation: savelife.in.ua/en/donate-en/…… u24.gov.ua Or ohmatdytfund.org/en/donate to directly support the clinic hit by a Russian missile today

Meet Lokiceratops rangiformis, a newly named ceratopsian from the Late Cretaceous of Montana.
Congrats to the authors. Great to finally see this published.
Beautiful artwork by @AndreyAtuchin and @SergeyAtrox1.
The ornate North American horned dinosaur #Lokiceratops indicates strong endemism in these animals, rapid evolution, and suggests that there are still many species yet to find. A new article by me in BBC Wildlife @WildlifeMag .... discoverwildlife.com/dinosau… #dinosaurs #newdinosaurs
We finally did it!

Our new mosasaur Khinjaria acuta (= "sharp dagger") is out in Cretaceous Research. A mouth full of teeth like knives and a face like a nightmare, Khinjaria was part of an exceedingly diverse fauna of top predators in the Maastrichtian of Morocco
Khinjaria acuta - a bizarre new plioplatecarpine mosasaurid from the Maastrichtian of Morocco. Khinjaria had a short face and a cruel-looking smile with a mouth full of teeth like knives.
The paper can be found here: doi.org/10.1016/j.cretres.20… I prepared this illustration a half a year ago to accompain the research. Khinjaria are chasing a school of Enchodus.

This photo of a mother & her 3-month-old found in Odesa rubble should be placed on the desks of everyone at the UN, OSCE, and all those who still fear provoking Russia.

We live in a time increasingly resembling the second half of the 1930s. I couldn't live with myself with the knowledge I didn't do more to stop another Hitler. In light of the Republican wavering and in memory of Navalny I will give $100 towards FPV drones for Ukr for every RT.
