Surprised someone like @elonmusk hasn’t bought @ManUtd easily affordable to him with no finance! Could have Tesla or space x as shirt sponsor or commercial partner and has ties to the area. Great global brand to add to the group

Falsifying records and agreeing to rules along with opponents then breaking said rules while they follow them ain’t the same. Stop pep shilling. No concocted analogy will absolve them
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think. In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards. Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted. City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it. From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system. From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.” If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor. We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?” And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Manchester City were found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges by an independent commission. The comparison made is not in the same ball park to the level of rule breaking Man City have committed. premierleague.com/en/news/472777…

Would be tempting. The swing in policy if dems win in 2028 could be out of frying pan into fire
If Trump granted UK citizens the right to swift citizenship anywhere in the US, who would go and where?

Lots of people cheering on the rumoured LVT Burnham wants! I bought my house in 2019 the tax would then have been £1072.80 and with value increasing would now be £1632. All while having no increase in service and adding green bin surcharge! Careful what you wish for as it’s just the wealth tax for working class

Exactly or Japanese both great at these projects! 200% over regulation and corruption
Birmingham to London is 118 miles, that’s over $1B per mile of railway track. It’s corruption. If I was in charge, I’d hire the Chinese to do it for $5B with the condition that British engineers can shadow the Chinese workers for training. I’d then spend $1B to make luxury trains akin to first class emirates flights with $94b to spare

Same thing has been said for years yet all 4 last summers signings considered success. That window laid the groundwork another of similar quality could well see us in strong position. And nurture what we have coming through academy
Manchester United don’t need a rebuild… they need a GENERATIONAL reset. This isn’t a tweak it’s a full overhaul. Must address THIS summer: • LB & RB • 3 Midfielders (2 elite + 1 high-upside) • Left Midfield • Backup Striker • Centre Back • 2nd GK (if Vitek leaves) Also worth watching: • Right Midfield • AM (cover/plan for Bruno) Potential OUTGOINGS: Højlund Rashford Sancho Casemiro Ugarte Zirkzee Shaw Mount Onana Bayindir Injury concerns / question marks: De Ligt 🚑 Lisandro Martínez 🚑 Dalot This squad isn’t one or two signings away. It’s a complete reset job. One window won’t fix it… but this one HAS to set the tone

Crazy how similar the HS2 and California high speed rail projects panned out! Similar initial budget and now failure! Seems like both were just ways to embezzle money from tax payers. Or am I off?

Absolutely crazy how so many people have been convinced the property developer guy off apprentice is some Russian agent despite being in public eye for 50 years.
I think that the US withdrawing from NATO is a good idea while the US is governed by a Russian agent Later, when the US is run again by a government not beholden to Russia, they may want to rejoin NATO and at that point I'm sure they will be welcome

Funny how he doesn’t mention him getting on wrong side of striker for first goal in Turin against juve!

Tipping self entitlement in USA is outta control. You are presented with a tip ‘option’ at the til at a fast food joint where you are not receiving service and general places look at a 20% tip as an insult no matter the level of service
We went to a dinner as a group and had a $500 bill. We tipped $40. We were happy we can be able to give our server something, but her reaction was the opposite. She told us she assumed we're going to give her at least $120. When we asked for the manager, she said she was just joking, but she wasn't smiling at all. Idk, but is $40 tip enough for $500 bill? I just feel like expecting $120 is not realistic. ~Lea Robertson

Exactly - all her talking points contradict, complains men are pundits for women but supports women as pundits for men, argues that caps are somehow the right to be on panel (in that case we should be seeing Gareth Barry on every panel), diversity is our strength yet a mixed sex panel is offensive to her. It's just the 'gimme' mentality. Her interview with Andrew Gold sums her up
Not only has Eni Aluko doubled down, but she’s come across even more arrogant than before. And by this logic, does this mean we can’t have women involved in punditry panels for men’s games? Goodness me… 🫠

It’s crazy how quickly a scapegoat can be made - up til a month or so ago he was hyped as a genius behind the scenes now he’s a pantomime villain! Much like Murtagh before him we have well paid highly rated (before they came) players they should be doing better.
