Very curious to see how Ryan Day and Arthur Smith adjust the offense around a QB with a different skill set (who will still be able to throw to No. 4).
Gary Patterson and the USC D will have to prep blind, so it’s in Ohio State’s best interest to lean into the differences.

🐢 Mike Locksley's replacement at Maryland?
All with @AndyStaples & @AriWasserman:
If the people trusted with spending millions on Maryland’s next football coach are the people calling the cops on student reporters doing their jobs, might be time to find some new people.
The ones you’ve got may not be smart enough.
For @testudotimes, @JudeWilkenfeld and I were outside Jones-Hill House trying to get players to comment. An athletics staffer took pictures of us, and a police dispatch was called for suspicious activity; a cop and 2 cop cars pulled up, and officers ID’d us and asked us to leave.
The chat in our Maryland hot board video immediately IDd the coach everyone is going to want this offseason.
WHO will replace Mike Locksley at Maryland?

Who will be Maryland's next head coach? The big questions for the Terrapins are how the job is viewed and what realistic goals the next Maryland coach can achieve.

OT Melvin Siani left Wake for big money from Texas.
Wake Forest currently has fewer losses than Texas does.
The people who are good at it like Dickert keep doing it. That’s what happens.

If you can evaluate, you can win.
Jake Dickert can evaluate.
All this era is doing is drawing a bright line between the dumb spenders and the smart ones.
NEW: Wake Forest and Jake Dickert are 6-1, and he tells @PeteNakos that financial limitations are no excuse:
"The new revenue share has given all coaches excuses. And if it doesn’t work, (you hear), ‘It’s not me. It’s not something I did. It’s not my —’ I just don’t believe them. I don’t believe in that. We know what we have. We’ve got to leverage every cent and resource that we possibly can, and there’s going to be a tremendous amount of sacrifice by everybody. Period."

So the truth serum version of this answer is "We have no confidence in the guys behind him," right?
I asked Ben Arbuckle why OU has stuck with Mateer as the starting quarterback: "We believe John Mateer gives us the best chance to win... We have to eliminate the catastrophic errors... Ultimately, it falls back on me." #Sooners
