The @Alfresco Community Edition 26.2 is out. Biggest change: Alfresco Search Community brings native @OpenSearchProj indexing to Community as the new supported search option, following the retirement of Solr.

OpenSearch just made its most important enterprise move-and it’s not a feature!
At OpenSearchCon EU in Prague, the OpenSearch Software Foundation introduced long-term support (LTS).
🎯This is the unlock.
At KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2026, we talked about OpenSearch becoming an AI data layer.
LTS makes that real for the enterprise.
💡My So What (more 👇):
The race isn’t about better AI models.
It’s about who owns the data platform underneath them.

Announcing the OpenSearch Long-Term Support (LTS) program—bringing greater stability, security, and enterprise-grade support to a production-ready open source platform.
With every improvement contributed upstream, LTS strengthens a unified codebase while building on the proven impact OpenSearch is already delivering for organizations like Atlassian and Uber.

Flexible GraphRAG is now available publicly on GitLab
gitlab.com/integrated-semant… (while waiting for GitHub support to fix an automated flag for public access).
The flexible-graphrag package is available on PyPi pypi.org/project/flexible-gr…
The package for the mcp server is also on PyPi pypi.org/project/flexible-gr…
Note the mcp server needs flexible-graphrag running (REST backend server).
The React, Vue, and Angular UIs also need a running REST backend. They are available in the flexible-graphrag/flexible-graphrag-ui folder in the GitLab project.
A running docker-compose.yaml available in the flexible-graphrag/docker folder provides the property graph, rdf graph, vector, search, and alfresco databases you want (uncomment or comment out includes).
Configure an .env based on env-sample.txt before starting the backend and the docker compose.
Proud to see @Hyland sponsoring OpenSearchCon Europe
