Someone reported a bug in a project that was trying to simulate fluids using 16k CharacterControllers in a grid. If only Pierre knew how his character snippet is going to be used IRL...

Using this opportunity to thank my team mates Juozas and Augustinas for working hard on all of this. Also a big shout out to Vilmantas, who’d been with us for the most of the release, until leaving for pastures anew. <3
Incredible stuff by Melvyn. Great job!
A new feature coming to 2D Physics in 2021.2 gives you full access to all primitive shapes on any 2D collider. Another feature is a new CustomCollider2D allowing you to create your own fully supported colliders using an unlimited mix of primitive shapes of any type in it.
In Unity 2021.1, WheelCollider.sprungMass is writable - finally. More vehicles are now easier to setup: bikes, trailers, variable load trucks etc. Use WheelCollider.ResetSprungMasses() to enable automatic mass distribution back. Thanks @VehiclePhysics for suggestions and testing.

On an un-serious note - coding some highly requested additions to the WheelCollider component this week, while listening to some industrial by Eisentanz, I guess that fits most. Any suggestion for some music that'd set the proper mood for the sprung mass stuff?

My older son is taking part in a local #bmx competition for the very first time this weekend. Excited and can’t wait to see how that goes.

I have a game physics joke, but it’s non-deterministic.

Past Sunday, heavy rain and black clouds witnessed the birth of my third son. Now back home, happy and well.

Fridays are for sharing experimental API! Here is a forum thread where you can download a Unity build with the contact modification API exposed. Make holes in anything, customise bounce, create custom conveyors, procedural surfaces,etc.forum.unity.com/threads/expe… #unity3d #gamedev

Been working on this for the most part of last year. Kier, Pierre, Michelle -- if you ever read this -- thank you so much for taking time to answer my never ending questions, you guys rock. <3

Hiring for a physics dev to join my team. Anyone from connections over here wants to apply? #unity3d #physics careers.unity.com/position/p…

I guess the biggest contribution I made to Unity physics over the years was narrowing the gap between the latest PhysX and the one that we actually used. Fact: Unity 2019.3 has the latest PhysX to date for the first time ever.

Feels so good not to be important. True that you don't get as much credit as before, but the upside is you do get plenty of time to make great stuff happen as opposed to spending countless hours fixing, talking, advising and so on.

I'm up for some cheeky nandos with the lads finally, @andytouch, going to visit London this month. Looks it's my turn to complain about the UK visa application process. It is ridiculous!!!

Tell us your income, how much you spend on your dependants (list them with their passport details), and how much you plan to spend in the UK.
