🚨The mystery transgender mailers sent across Texas just got a whole lot more interesting. And guess who turns up in the connections? Ken Paxton’s billionaire donors.
CBS News identified Three Z Printing in Teutopolis, Illinois, as the company whose bulk-mail permit was used to distribute the deceptive pamphlets.
Three Z is owned by Bill Zerrusen, whose three sons are involved in the business. One son, Matthew Zerrusen, who also founded Newman Ministry, a Catholic organization, lives in a mansion in Flowermound, Texas, and pals around with the late billionaire, Darwin Deason’s son, Doug Deason.
In a 2019 Facebook photo. Matt is traveling to Mar-a-Lago with Doug Deason. Deason is a major Republican donor and financial supporter of Ken Paxton, and his Facebook page is filled with posts attacking James Talarico, many with references to transgender. 💣
These connections deserve a closer look, and I hope investigative journalists are paying attention.

In 2015, a Collin County grand jury indicted Paxton on two first-degree securities fraud counts and one failure-to-register charge. Allegations: while a legislator in 2011, he solicited investors for Servergy Inc. without disclosing commissions (100,000 shares) or that he had not invested personally. In 2024 he paid ~$270k restitution, did community service and ethics courses under a pretrial deal; charges dropped with no admission of guilt.
In 2023 the House impeached him on articles alleging he abused his office to aid donor Nate Paul (under FBI probe), including legal interventions, home renovations and a job for an alleged mistress. The Senate acquitted him on all 16 tried articles.
Paxtons’ Esther Blind Trust invested $600k in Wildcatter Sand Services (and related firms) run by Scott Sherman, who pleaded guilty in 2014 to mortgage-fraud conspiracy and served 20 months. Records showed the trust was not fully blind; the companies later wired the trust over $83k in 2023. Details reported October 2026.
