“Jormungandr” are a legendary race of colossal fish lamia inhabiting the deepest reaches of the ocean. Their bodies are filled with incredibly dense magical energy, only contained by the immense pressure of their deep-sea environment. Merely approaching the surface causes their condensed mana reserves to expand, swelling their bodies to even more gigantic proportions, comparable to the size-growing effects of the Kraken - while agitating the surrounding sea into whirling currents and waves. It is said that the entire world could be imperiled were all Jormungandrs to rise to the surface at once. To prevent such a calamity, the gods in ages past placed a seal upon their kind, binding the race of Jormungandr to the deep depths where their tremendous power could remain contained. Their rare appearances have since become feared as omens of great disaster, though the monsters themselves desire little more than the companionship denied to them by their immense power.

Unable to seek out husbands themselves thanks to the remoteness of their environment, Jormungandr will purposefully break off one of their own horns and send it along the currents toward land. This Horn acts like a conduit for the Jormugandr to sense and supply mana to, regardless of the vast distances between it and her body. A Jormungandr’s horn possesses an uncanny talent for finding its way across both sea and land. Passing between traders, tumbling from one owner’s grasp to vanish out of sight, and even turning up among treasures recovered from a dungeon, all of this in search of a man who catches her interest. Jormungandr naturally favor Heroes, whose bodies can readily withstand the tremendous flow of mana required to serve as their husband, though strength alone does not determine their choice. Should one become especially fond of an otherwise ordinary man, prolonged exposure to her horn's dense mana will gradually awaken the potential of a Hero within him. Once her horn has found its way into the possession of a man she deems suitable, she begins watching him through it while gradually suffusing his body with her power. Once she has settled upon him, the horn will bind itself to him; even if cast away, it will find itself back him, even magically reappearing across vast distances and barriers. Over time, this mana exposure transforms him into an incubus, deepening their connection and allowing his body to safely receive enough of her immense mana reserves to permit her ascent.
At some point the horn’s bearer becomes so overwhelmed with the Jormugandr’s mana that he will find himself compelled to raise and sound the horn. Its call can travel the entire world, reaching its creator even in the deepest ocean abyss, signaling that her long wait has finally come to an end. Pouring the excess of her compressed mana through her horn and into her husband, the Jormungandr is at last able to overcome the seal binding her to the depths and begin her ascent. Even with much of her mana spent, her emergence remains a spectacularly destructive affair; her rapidly swelling body churns the ocean into towering waves and violent currents as she follows the call of her horn toward the man awaiting her. To terrified witnesses it resembles the beginning of some ancient apocalypse, though aquatic monsters acting on behalf of Poseidon work alongside of her passage to protect the impacted settlements from the worst of the devastation. Many of the men swept up in the chaos find themselves rescued and claimed by the monsters coming to their aid, turning the Jormungandr’s destructive wake into a procession of monster marriages. Upon finally reaching her chosen man, the long-isolated Jormungandr eagerly claims him as her husband, finally consummating the long distance bond shared between them. As they continue having more passionate sex between themselves circulating their mana between their bodies, she gradually gains enough control over her tremendous reserves to remain near the surface without bringing calamity wherever she goes.

“Tulpas” are mysterious monsters whose bodies share traits with both Slimes and Spirits. Their bodies are formed entirely from spiritual energy shaped by concentrated imagination - Amorphous and weightless, their undulating forms constantly shift through vivid colors and psychedelic patterns. Though they resemble Slimes, they possess no physical core; instead, the closest thing to one is a tangled collection of ideas buried within the mind of the man from whom they originated. So long as this “thought-core” remains, even a Tulpa whose body has been completely dispersed can eventually manifest herself again. How the first idea of a Tulpa enters a man’s mind is still a topic of research, they are believed to originate as imaginary companions assembled from forgotten dreams, suppressed desires, and half-formed fantasies. Notably, manifestations have also been recorded among the rare men who begin transforming into Incubi after excessive exposure to demonic energy, yet stubbornly suppress their new instincts - it is theorized that, denied expression, these desires separate from the man’s conscious mind and gradually take the form of a woman all on their own.

Tulpas are always deeply attached to and share a connective bond with the person whose thoughts originated them - their bodies growing more substantive whenever his thoughts turn towards her. Attempts to ignore or suppress her are therefore remarkably ineffective, as even the frustrated thought that he must stop thinking about her only reinforces her existence. Tulpas quickly become aware of this and delight in monopolizing their lover’s attention, affectionately interrupting his work until his thoughts return to them. A Tulpa’s appearance and personality reflect tastes and desires buried within her originator’s mind, her thought core is quick to react to her husband’s desires, shifting her body into new forms on every subconscious whim.

“Wolfweres” are the enigmatic and lesser-known relatives of the Werewolf, often regarded as their mirror counterpart. Unlike Werewolves who are humans whose bodies have taken on the characteristics of wolves, Wolfweres represent the flipside, wolves transformed into humanoid forms. This reversal results in the two races having dramatically different anatomy; compared to Werewolves, they are shorter in stature, entirely covered in fur, and possess more beastlike faces, paws, and proportions.

Though capable of walking upright and using their forepaws much like human hands, Wolfweres retain many of the instincts and mannerisms of the wild wolves from which they originated. Among which is their proud but reserved disposition, which can make their emotions difficult to read. Many join Werewolf packs, where their small stature disguises their tremendous strength; an experienced Wolfwere can overpower a Werewolf several times her size. Rather than seeking leadership themselves, they commonly serve as trusted lieutenants, their keen instincts and steady temperament complementing the pack’s more dominant and brash members.
Like Werewolves. Wolfweres also transform beneath the full moon, growing considerably larger and developing a more mature, womanly figure. However, the changes in their behavior are almost entirely opposite. While a Werewolf’s lupine instincts become increasingly dominant, a Wolfwere instead becomes more humanlike, gaining greater control over her base instincts and being able to focus on things such as speech or romance. Feelings that she normally struggles to communicate through anything more than posture, scent, or simple gestures become much easier to put into words. As a result, the normally reserved Wolfwere may become unusually open and assertive during the full moon, eagerly expressing desires and attachments that she had quietly concealed throughout the rest of the month.
