1. That east side needs a facelift.
2. I personally wish they’d kept the 61 next to the A in the grass.

JMU head coach Billy Napier said that the team not remaining on the field for the alma mater was an oversight on his part. He said it won’t happen again.

Lots of photos of empty college football stadiums this week. Surely the 24-team CFP will fix it!

Kids stop chasing the letters FBS just to go somewhere and play in front of less people that you did in high school

College football attendance is starting to go the way of home run or strikeout
You’re seeing single game attendance records set for the biggest games (like the Whiteout), but your average game is becoming significantly emptier

Seeing a lot of pictures of low attendance across CFB today.
1. The cost of living is high. These ticket prices are outrageous.
2. For years college football fans have been loud about not liking the direction the sport is headed. Yet the people in charge have doubled down and ripped away a lot of what made CFB unique and different. Example: 24 team playoff is extremely unpopular amongst CFB fans yet they did it anyway. Ignoring the customers is never a good long term business model.

Late night tweet:
College football seems like its at some sort of weird inflection point.
Half empty stadiums. Season success solely defined by the plauoff. Roster churn has made even well-coached teams sloppy
Not sure the sport is in a better place than it was 5 years ago🤷♂️
It feels like college football is on the brink of a biggggggg attendance problem. Especially in November. Maybe it already happened.
It’s like the 80s and 90s boom of building massive arenas that are no longer around
The Georgia Southern ESPN+ broadcast just showed a list of players to have beaten App State 5 times in their careers, foreshadowing tonights result.
App is down 16-3 (3!!!) in the 4th quarter
