What Are We Up To?
You’ve probably noticed our quiet July... That’s because we dedicated an entire month to Server Authority! What is Server Authority? It’s a magical service that, when turned on, gives us perfect physics interactions (bumping cars realistically) plus a very big anti-cheat! Although it can’t stop every single cheat, it’s the nail in the coffin for many.
However, ServerAuth is not just a switch we turn on. We have to reprogram parts of Jailbreak for compatibility. That's why we dedicated every day of July towards this. And we're making progress, with working prototypes behind the scenes!
We'll continue chipping away on this on the side. Stay tuned!
Seasons GONE?!
Seasons are going, but not updates. The tsunami of off-sale limiteds will be paused, but we expect trading values of existing limiteds to rise from it. This decision will also remove the constraints of being tied to a time crunch schedule. Season 33 will be (for now) the finale.
Cosmetic additions aren't outright gone though. To our creators: We're still on the lookout for special items (and vehicles!) to add to Jailbreak. Stay tuned!

The issue isnt you being mentally equipped to do said thing. the issue is a 15 year old (minor) somewhere in the world getting groomed, and their parents blame roblox for their own incompetency

honestly the roblox community gets what they deserve. for the past year everyone was kicking screaming and crying about how roblox is "unsafe" and needs to take child safety more seriously. they do exactly that and now everyone is pissed off and threatening to quit the platform.
...almost like there are second order consequences to that. nobody wanted to speak up when the child safety myth was becoming increasingly popular with the general public because everyone was afraid of being "that guy" defending "le heckin evil pedophile corporation."

Roblox is changing User IDs
Starting in October 2026, new players will receive game specific User IDs instead of one global ID across the platform.
Pretty big privacy update that could affect analytics, third party tools, and ban systems.

Roblox’s new update involving user IDs isn’t to destroy EASI, contrary to popular belief. It’s also not to destroy things like Rotector—user IDs will still be used on the main site.
We think we’ve figured out the real reason why this change is happening. A thread.

Okay, I got tipped off what's actually going on and it sorta makes sense.
This change has nothing to do with stopping ban lists like EASI or making moderation more difficult, those are unintended casualties.
Lets just say... there are some corporate entities acting very sleazy.

This has been a theory I’ve had for a long time, two things:
1. Some of the largest studios on Roblox who own multiple games are collecting massive amounts of data on players across all of their games, matching the people together, understanding patterns and are using that to either sell that data to 3rd party companies, or using that to know more information about players buying preferences to give them personalized dev-product offerings
2. This is somewhat unrelated, but I also believe some of these bigger studios that “do acquisitions” reach out to mass amounts of people pretending their interested in acquiring it, asking for game stats, and then ultimately scrape all of their data to fuel an algorithm that they use for god knows what. And they have no intention on actually acquiring the game.

HI! Next week, Jailbreak turns 9! And I have epic news...
We’ve entered PHASE 2 of Jailbreak’s Aura Improvement Project and Phase 2 is dedicated entirely to one thing: An exclusive Update AND Live Event!! YUP! We've been so busy working on this for you, and we're tracking towards a May or June release. Phase 1 was insane, with hundreds of changes, and Phase 2 will be insane too. We'll have more details soon, so STAY TUNED!
After the event, Phase 3 (the final phase) will begin. EpicTank, once a player like you, will be taking on the remainder of AIP along with passion projects of his own for Jailbreak. It’ll be epic.
While that happens, Badcc and I will direct Jailbreak, picking our favorite ideas and guiding this game on a path not just 9 or 10 years long, but 15 and beyond. Jailbreak is a Roblox ICON and here to stay!
Finally, while Badcc takes on epic IRL engineering, I'll be releasing new games (while still directing Jailbreak!) and I have countless ideas I'm eager to build for you and I'm excited to share more after this upcoming event.
