@MrsBimonte Students are applying their knowledge of gear ratios to make a clean energy mechanism. Calvin and Rhys have designed a wind turbine with a gear ratio of 1:2 which will double the speed from the wind. Awesome real world problem solving guys!

Check out these cool designs! My 7th grade Design & Modeling kids worked in groups of 3 to plan and design a 3-Layer engraving. They will stain them tomorrow (see rocket). #LMSTigers

Pull Toy Parade (Halloween Theme) youtu.be/uJQxj0z1we4 via @YouTube My 8th Grade Robotics Students at LMS created a "pull toy" using a minimum of four mechanisms to animate Halloween characters in our Pull Toy Parade. Awesome job #LMStigers
Loveland Robotics Camp is underway! You can feel the energy and excitement in the room.

You know what is awesome? When you have students who are so excited about what their learning in STEM class that they spend hours of their own time making things in OnShape and RD Works. Nice laser engrave Luca! #LMStigers

My 7th Grade STEM students are designing bag tags and necklaces in OnShape. They look great! Can you guess which one is Ronan Wolfer’s? #LMStigers

My LMS STEM students are making ornaments for a loved one. Students must understand how their designs in CAD will translate to laser cuts and engraving depth levels. This takes a tremendous amount of spatial thinking, even for me!
