This tweet struck a chord with me, and while I don't often get personal on the Tweeters, given the point made here, I feel it's important. So here we go. Happy #pridemonth. xitter.cf/jpbrammer/status/87146… Confession: When I was younger, I never really bought into the idea of "pride."

Lol oh? What's the White House Counsel gonna do about it?
The White House counsel's office warned Politico in a Monday letter that it had 48 hours to retract or correct recent stories revolving around COS Susie Wiles — or it would suffer unspecified consequences. axios.com/2026/10/21/white-h…

And that's why workplace diversity is important. Without a non-sociopath on the team, nobody was there to understand the horrific nature of what they were doing.

The latest in Carr's ongoing effort to exert government control over political information & discourse. Today, former FCC officials issued a statement (supported by @TechFreedom & @protctdemocracy) calling his latest threat "a direct attack on free and fair elections." Link👇
During this election season, there has been a significant surge in entirely Fake Polls and Suppression Polls designed to do nothing more than interfere with the regular functioning of the electoral process and alter the normal patterns of voter turnout and enthusiasm. Many journalists and broadcasters have been amplifying or airing these Polls without regard to basic journalistic ethics and without informing the public that those Polls lack a scientific, accurate, or even real basis. The FCC takes these issues seriously. Broadcasters are prohibited by the terms of their federal licenses from engaging in News Distortion or promoting Broadcast Hoaxes. It is important that broadcasters comply with their public interest obligations. After all, the country benefits greatly when Americans can trust and rely on the media to report the news fairly and accurately. Broadcasters are advised to avoid engaging in News Distortions or running Broadcast Hoaxes by airing Polls that would violate their regulatory obligations. If broadcasters believe they should provide their viewers with additional context and information about Polls they have covered, they can now take those actions consistent with FCC regulations.

This is not the first time a bipartisan coalition of former high-ranking FCC officials have raised the alarm. Last month, @TechFreedom & @protctdemocracy filed an amicus brief on behalf of eighteen former FCC officials in ABC's lawsuit against the agency: techfreedom.org/fcc-threaten…

To be clear: Constitutionally protected speech and editorial discretion is in no sense "throwing an election"
To be clear, no-one is disputing that there is currently nothing stopping Meta or YouTube from just deciding to throw an election, or disappear an issue. Reliance on the whims, prejudices of a few CEOs, especially those with a clear interest in pleasing those who hold governmental power, is an insane way to build a communications infrastructure in a democracy.

Curious how the electronic price tags/dynamic pricing stuff interacts with states' pricing/scanner laws. If the price changes after you pick the item but before checkout, is the tag/scanner matching based on the price you saw, or what the shelf tag says at moment of checkout?
Walmart said it has no plans to renew a patent on technology that would allow dynamic pricing. mrf.lu/266_j

Trump: I stood right over here and I examined his ass. I never did that. No, I never did that with a man before. I examined his ass… My hand is still recovering.
