I don’t know w h a t is going on today, but Fernanda and James at the @Delta counter in Orlando are absolute angels. Runi and I appreciate your help with getting us back home before the New Year! #holidaytravel
That time a @Delta rep changes your flight to the next day without notice and you don’t realize until you’re about to leave for the airport #travelnightmares
….and my brackets are both already messed up 😂 #MarchMadnessBracket
5 days upstate with no distractions and I:
✔️ Prepped taxes for accountant
✔️ Set up my LLC 🎉
✔️ Got in 5 strength workouts
✔️ Went on 3 hikes
✔️ Sent off 2 proposals
Good reminder to unplug sometimes 🔌

This Georgia-Florida State game is barely worth watching. (Lack of) strength of the ACC is showing 🫣
And there goes the ACC.
Florida State appears ready to spark a new wave of conference realignment. The Seminoles have no obvious destination. That can change tho. Quickly. sports.yahoo.com/florida-sta…
Love seeing friends win!
I am honored to be a @BusinessInsider rising star of venture capital in 2023 ⭐
From bank teller to VC, it is honestly still a dream that I get to work in venture for a living!
Thank you to the BI team for sharing my story 🙏🏼
I hope it inspires the next generation of VCs!
I hope it shows that anyone can break into VC, even those with an uncommon background.
Full write up for those who can't access paywall:

"Hoffman began his career as a bank teller in 2006 at a local bank in downtown Anaheim. He used his wages to pay for college and eventually built a music production studio, and eventually worked in equity research at @MorganStanley.
Hoffman got the startup investing bug and joined Samsung Electronics's innovation and VC firm, @SamsungNext, where he helped lead investments in @readyplayerme , @yugalabs, and @WonderDynamics.
Last year, Hoffman broke out on his own with @SunsetVC , an early-stage fund that got the backing of @BankofAmerica and @alexisohanian's @sevensevensix
Hoffman says the best way to break into investing is by getting "hands-on experience doing the work of a VC."
"Start by joining VC communities and programs that offer intern, fellow, or scout opportunities," said Hoffman.
He said he started angel investing with small amounts on AngelList and then built an angel community. He also volunteered as an intern at @HarlemCapital in 2018 when their first fund was being launched."

This is one of the best videos to ever exist for entrepreneurs, creators... I think about it often.
In 2016, Pharrell Williams visited a NYU music production class to critique student songs.
At the beginning you could see student "Maggie Rogers" drenched with the absolute terror of sharing this with him.
Pharrell is there just trying to keep his excitement in.
The guy couldn’t wait to tell her this song is the bee’s knees.
After he listened to a song called “Alaska”, he explained why “I have zero, zero, zero notes for that:”
24 hours later, someone posted the clip to Reddit.
It blew up and the rest is history. Grammy nominated, millions of followers etc.
And Maggie responded to the Reddit thread (i'll share screenshot in the next tweet).
This story I find so cool because it inspires other artists to share what they got.
We all can all connect with the fear of showing our work. It ain't easy.
And to have a unique POV like Maggie. Easy to copy, harder to have something unique.
I’ve got a bunch of designs, creations that have never seen the light of day.
This video inspires me to publish more.
My point of sharing this video:
Publish your art anonymously.
Or publish your art proudly as yourself. Bonus points if it's one of a kind work.
But publish your darn art.
This is your new week's energy.
This is your 2024 energy.
Go get 'em.

Guaranteed disability insurance (GSI) is way too hard to find, so many physicians apply elsewhere and receive denials or exclusions due to pre-existing health conditions. Many agents and advisors don't mention GSIs because they earn little or no commission!

PSA: Your program likely has a GSI even if it’s not in the booklet.
My program told me that we don’t have a GSI. The financial planner that talked to my MS4 class said my program didn’t have a GSI. But @TPP_MD’s company found it for me.

There are levels to being a New Yorker and knowing which train car will get you out at the best place on the platform for your exit is *chef’s kiss* top tier.
It’s bizarre that life expectancy overall *should* be going up (because technology) and workers’ efficiency *should* be going up (because technology) but still we want to increase the retirement age to 70?
Capitalism’s going to capitalism.

In July I shared shocking testimony from an anonymous Twitter employee about warning signs she saw of what was coming on Jan. 6.
Today I’m honored to share her identity with you. Thank you, Anika Navaroli, for answering the call of the Committee and your country.
