Today, even people who know nothing about crypto are suddenly interested. Guess what they're interested in? Memecoins (worthless assets correlated with retardation). After investing their savings or money in them, they get rekt big time. Next, they quit crypto and tell their friends that crypto and blockchain are scams. But this isn't what people like me saw before joining crypto. Back then, you performed a certain task, acquired and applied a particular skill, and earned from it. But memecoins, rug pulls, and token-bundling events have destroyed newbies' perception of blockchain. What's even more difficult is that if you ask someone who claims to be a crypto enthusiast to define blockchain or cryptocurrencies, they have no idea or understanding of what they're talking about. They don't know because they see crypto as a get-rich-quick scheme. Essentially, it's a casino to them. Worse still, it's a casino designed so they can never win. The people building these platforms know this, so they design their platforms around retardation, token bundling, crime pumps, rug pulls, and all-around user value extraction. Why? So users become addicted to losing money, while extractors become accustomed to deploying tokens, faking trading activity, and extracting value from users. Essentially, they're creating an addiction similar to those associated with drugs, gambling, porn, and sex. It gives these individuals dopamine. It was never about winning; now, it's about the thrill. But are memecoin launchpads the only places where people can get onboarded into crypto and blockchain? No. We have perps, DePINs, DEX trading, liquidity provision, NFTs, smart contracts, security, research, marketing, prediction markets, and more. Yet they still choose the memecoin launchpads; see why it's an addiction. If we look at earlier memecoins that were used to express shared community values, like DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, FLOKI, and BONK, they were more about holding and not rug-pulling. The idea of a token representing a shared-value system is dead. Memecoin launchpads and their economic systems killed it. Anytime I talk to someone about crypto, they classify it as a scam. Their reference point is someone who bought crypto and got rekt. Which crypto? Not BTC, ETH, SOL, or BNB, but one memecoin they were told was going to the moon. If this is how we want to onboard people into our financial system, then we're fucked. We need to invest heavily in proper education and stop letting the retarded ones funnel people into memecoin launchpads. Investing and trading don't reward people with millions overnight.
