Currently reading Large Animals (pub @CipherPress) by @ArndtJess and its cornucopia of identities, genders, genres and bodies is breathtaking. The joy in these stories is laced with slow-release cyanide. Teaching Kafka this year and this book will definitely inform my teaching.

Replying to @ArndtJess
@ArndtJess reads on art, the idea of containment, blood draws, grief, memory, the ever-changing day to day of life, fires consuming California… Asks, “Is it possible I’m not well? And you’re not well? And you’re not well either?”

'The collection is like a pot of water on a stove: at times a rolling boil, at other times a simmer.'
