“…how to make sure that, as AI changes the way work is done, we do not lose sight of what that work was meant to achieve in the first place” As with ai writing our stories and making our music, are we forgetting what makes us human? terrytao.wordpress.com/2026/…

People are increasingly offloading their thinking to AI. It’s becoming effortless to rely on it for everything, from trivial decisions to complex problems Inspired by @kyliu99's story, “The Perfect Match”, I wrote about autonomy and the value of thinking for ourselves Link: open.substack.com/pub/yennie…

whether it's using ai to automate the scientific process or to take the role of judges/therapists/doctors/artists, it's important to remember that ai is here to serve humans — not the other way around!

i tried this with several writing samples (creative fiction, essay, and a technical blog post) and claude is pretty sure that english is my native language :D well, i guess it is true that i grew up in the u.s., although, fun fact, english was not my first language 🙈 i suppose it means that i write very ... american ...
Wait this is fucking insane — Claude immediately guessed I was French. How can anyone still think these things are stochastic parrot and not reasoning? Do they really think there is much "people guessing what people's native languages are" in the training data?

I downloaded some data about the athletes participating in the 2024 Paris Olympic games #Olympic2024 ... Here's what I found 1. A few countries send many athletes, while many countries send a few athletes.

6. The Pisces are not diving and swimming, but rather playing badminton and rugby. Larger circles correspond with a higher percentage of that Zodiac sign within that sport. I'll let the astrology girlies take this one on.
