ENG|| In light of the profound passing of #PopeFrancis, as a Lasallian Family, we give thanks to God for his life of dedication and service to the Church, for teaching us to look to the peripheries. May he rest in peace! 🙏@Pontifex

We had the pleasure of welcoming Brother Armin Luistro, FSC, to St. John’s Centre this morning. His visit was a timely reminder of the essence of Lasallian education:
'When De La Salle opened the schools, he wanted every child to feel welcome. Over the years, we’ve tried to ensure that schools are run excellently. However, sometimes we forget the child. In our obsession with creating "excellent schools," we might exclude children who don’t seem to fit into that vision.
St. John’s serves as a reminder—for all schools—that it’s the schools that should adapt to young people, not the other way around. The story of St. John’s cannot stay confined here; it must inspire a change in how educators think of schools. This is, I believe, what the world is missing today.'
— Br Armin Luistro, FSC, Superior General, Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools

The theme of the International Lasallian Days for Peace is: "1 La Salle, our Pilgrimage towards Peace". On the one hand, the expression, ‘One La Salle‘ underlines the idea that we are more than a network of educational ministries, we are one family and it is important to show solidarity with fellow Lasallians and make an effort towards global peace. The Lasallian month of Peace begins today, and the theme is, ‘Sowing seeds of Peace: Where is your focus?’ May we focus on the small things that we can do which make a big difference, and commit to helping these seeds of peace to grow. We ask you to use and share the ILDP prayer
