Thursday—Talent Day! One talent artists have is finding evocative trash... I’m not saying it’s the best talent. @SpringbrookSGA @Springbrook_HS @MCPSArts

Here’s a great reminder from @Justseeds that making art keeps us well. Your art/music/dance/film/theater teachers have plenty of ideas—please check in with them. Keep creating, #BlueDevilartists @SpringbrookSGA @MCPSArts

This week was a little more stressful for most of us... Hope you’re using all types of art to relax and to focus. Here’s Angeles creating by destroying, back when we could smash things outside of B-wing. Her finished sculpture WILL be submitted in her IB Art Show this month!

Have you started measuring days in mealtimes yet? TBT to Chef Mark cooking with @Springbrook_HS culinary arts students. And here’s a drawing I made tonight...

Dear @Springbrook_HS Family—as we all face challenges and uncertainty right now, we realize this is no time for art. We need for everyone—especially the youth—to focus on important things. So art and music teachers have volunteered to teach math, science, and grammar. See thread:

It was a busy day today with teachers Zooming all over—while staying in place! So here’s a dumb drawing made by an art teacher. Are y’all filling your sketchbooks? Are we allowed to say this on Twitter? Shout out to all teachers everywhere, working hard and missing students. 💙

Looking forward to shaking the dust off and getting back in touch with all our @Springbrook_HS artists this week! Here’s last semester’s FoA puppets self-quarantined in my favorite classroom.

Good morning, @Springbrook_HS artists! Just like that it’s Figure Friday again. Pro tip: to make your model look mysterious, leave out the eyes... It’s a beautiful day—keep your distance, Fam! @SpringbrookBand @TheBrooks_Drama @BrookSports @SpringbrookSGA @BlueprintPress

TBT making fried rice in Ms. Wright’s International Cultures and Cuisines class. They ended up cooking this dish for the entire faculty! #culinaryarts @SpringbrookBand @TheBrooks_Drama @BrookSports @SpringbrookSGA @BlueprintPress #springbrookstudentscrush

Student artist of the day: Mikey is a phenomenal artist in our LFI program. He can pretty much draw anything from memory, but his favorite subjects are cartoons and video games. @MCPSArts @SpringbrookBand @TheBrooks_Drama @BrookSports @SpringbrookSGA @BlueprintPress

Here’s another timely reminder from a Blue Devil artist in Ceramics class. We know @Springbrook_HS students and teachers are looking on the bright side and trying to make the most of this strange interlude @MCPSArts @TheBrooks_Drama @BrookSports @SpringbrookSGA @BlueprintPress

Good morning, @Springbrook_HS Blue Devils! It’s a new week of possibilities and challenges, and a new week to spotlight student artwork. Make it a week of good decisions!

Wait—yesterday WASN’T Figure Friday?! 😆 This #QuarantineLife has already got me addled. So here’s a photo of me, sad and alone in the Art room, missing y’all. @Springbrook_HS @MCPSArts @TheBrooks_Drama @BrookSports @SpringbrookSGA @BlueprintPress #springbrookstudentscrush

Happy Figure Friday, @Springbrook_HS ! Here’s Ms. Lyddane’s Studio Art 2 class from a couple weeks ago, drawing a student and a sloth. Can you spot the subtle differences? @MCPSArts @TheBrooks_Drama @BrookSports @SpringbrookSGA @BlueprintPress #springbrookstudentscrush

TBT Missing the music and dance that fills @Springbrook_HS every day... Let’s put on some loud music and dance around the house until a parent (or kid) yells at us to stop. @MCPSArts @TheBrooks_Drama @BrookSports @SpringbrookSGA @BlueprintPress #springbrookstudentscrush

Today’s Blue Devil #studentart is an abstract comic by H. Things get bleak, but then “happiness returns.” @Springbrook_HS @TheBrooks_Drama @BrookSports @SpringbrookSGA @BlueprintPress #abstractcomic #springbrookstudentscrush

Today’s @Springbrook_HS student art is by Elena, one of our IB Visual Art superstars, reminding us not to let our brains shrivel up during this enforced break. Plant some new mental seeds! Thanks, Elena! Keep making art, everyone! @MCPSArts @ap_ib
