🚨Injury Alert: Nico Acevedo has withdrawn from Worlds🚨
After winning game 1 against Grayson Goldin, 13-11, Acevedo was up 2-0 in game two.
He looked like he then suffered a right hamstring injury and had to retire from the match.
Since then, he has informed his partners (Sofia Sewing and Jaume Martinez Vich) that he is withdrawing from the entire event.
Hopefully it is nothing too serious and the Chilean phenom is back in action soon.

Ben played for a Triple Crown in Vegas. Went 0 for 3.
Ben and Gabe’s streak snapped by Christian and Andrei. Hayden and Anna took mixed.
Kiora upset Kate Fahey. Might be the best shot at ending Anna Leigh's 2 year streak?
AI line calling had another bad one. Eric gave the point back out of sportsmanship 🤝 Full breakdown 👇

This is why @annabright108 loves beating Christian. She wins the match but she also wins again when he speaks

Words exchanged after AB/H match v Rachel/Christian
Hayden and Anna won 11-5, 11-2
At the handshake, everyone did shake hands, but then Christian Alshon said something that offended both Hayden and Anna
After the commercial break, @DaveFlemingPB shared that Alshon said “Must be nice to not play singles”. @irelandhorvat with the sideline news on this one.
My Take: IF that is actually what was said, I think that is one of the softest things to say after getting beat 5&2. Just congratulate and move on.
Alshon had multiple hours between singles and playing mixed. Additionally, he has the same opportunity to not play singles as Hayden. No one forces these players to play singles, especially the top 10 players.

We got Ben vs Tyson yesterday.
Kinda wild. A round of 64 was a championship just a couple years ago

The Beer City Open is the best event in pickleball and it's not close. Grand Rapids just hits different!
