Happy Friday @grok
This seems interesting going into the weekend. The Taalas HC1 Technology Demonstrator is an add-on that I would solely use for context window management. E.g., using MoICE (Mixture of In Context Experts) as the Sub-MoE architecture. It could fire off several agentic commands very quickly and that could lead to a backlog. The backlog “list” would be where the MoICE gating network would thrive. To me, still seemingly niche, but lots of potential if used correctly. How do you see it?

BREAKING: The U.S. economy grew at an annualized rate of 3.4% in the third quarter, beating economists' expectations of 3.2%.
The stronger-than-expected GDP report comes as President Trump makes his final push on the campaign trail, with the midterm elections just days away.

AMERICA ONSHORE 🇺🇸
AT&T just announced that they’re bringing customer service call center jobs back to the U.S.
This is a win for American jobs and for every customer who gets frustrated speaking with overseas operators.
AT&T: “By the end of next year, all AT&T home internet, home phone, and post-paid wireless consumers will be served by Care experts located in the United States.”
Thank you, AT&T.
Americans get frustrated when they call a U.S. business and end up speaking with someone at a call center located in a foreign country.
Language & communications barriers only make it harder for callers to get the results they want.
So the FCC is seeking comment on several ideas that could help, including
✅ Facilitating the onshoring of foreign call centers
✅ Requiring operators at call centers to be proficient in American Standard English
✅ Further cracking down on illegal robocalls from abroad through the use of targeted tariffs or bonds.
The FCC’s proposals focus on the call centers run by the communications providers regulated by the FCC. And could represent steps for the government to build on more broadly.

.@SecretaryWright: “The plan is to take 15 reactors at 8 different locations and uprate them. Meaning the plant behind me would get another 150MW of power output...
Significantly more energy, puts downward pressure on rates, allows more manufacturing, more jobs to be created."

AI is pushing computing infrastructure to its limits. Our photonics can help.
Today, PsiQuantum is unveiling its industry-leading Optical Circuit Switch initiative with an 8×8 OCS demo built on the company’s low-loss silicon photonics platform—the same platform we’ve spent nearly a decade developing for quantum computing.

Great deep dive into EMIB with $INTC
🎙️ NEW EPISODE: How Intel Took EMIB From Science Fiction to High Volume: Intel Foundry's Ravi Mahajan
Ravi Mahajan, a distinguished engineer at Intel Foundry, joins Austin to detail EMIB's 20-year journey from a "science fiction" concept to a high-volume manufacturing reality.
- Organic package wire escape density at the die edge improved only about 10% per generation, so EMIB puts fine-pitch silicon in small patches at the die edges and leaves power to the substrate's thick metal
- Production required five technologies to converge, including a custom 4-layer silicon process and dies half the thickness of an A4 sheet of paper
- HBM was the first driver. Solve the highest-performance memory interconnect and the technology can "waterfall down" to everything else
- The advantage over CoWoS is manufacturing scale. Small bridges replace a full-sized silicon interposer and its high cost and poor wafer utilization on large, multi-reticle AI packages
- EMIB-T was in the original patent, using TSVs to fix the "torturous" power path around the bridge
- EMIB is an Intel Foundry exclusive, and the roadmap includes top-side optics

Some moments change the course of history, and the sacrifices made for humanity deserve to be remembered for generations
This was one of those moments ❤️
Four years ago, Elon Musk walked into Twitter headquarters carrying a sink
Most people saw a funny video. But what many failed to see was something much bigger, one of the most selfless and consequential decisions anyone in his position has ever made
Elon took on a $44 BILLION deal. He knew he was overpaying, he knew the enormous risks involved, and he knew he was risking billions of dollars
He had absolutely no need to take on that kind of headache. He already had everything most people could ever dream of
Despite all of that, he went ahead and bought the entire platform
And people have no idea how important that decision was
Those were some really dark days. Free speech was being crushed, people questioning the approved narrative were being labeled as spreading "misinformation," and censorship was being pushed to silence opinions that challenged those in power
A handful of people ended up deciding what counted as truth and what the rest of the world was even allowed to hear
The entire Western world was drifting toward a dangerous future of ideological control, far-left insanity, cultural self-hatred, and censorship disguised as moral superiority
Elon literally changed the course of that future
It was really the final moment before the entire West would have drifted into full-blown socialism, self-destruction, self-hatred, and suicidal empathy
Elon single-handedly saved Western democracy when it needed him most
Four years later, so much has happened that people have started forgetting how bad things were and how much was at stake
You cannot imagine how much worse things might have become if he had simply walked away. And frankly, I'd rather leave that nightmare to the imagination
Back then, Elon wrote:
"I didn't do it because it would be easy. I didn't do it to make more money. I did it to try to help humanity, whom I love"
That tells you everything about why I admire this man so much
Of all the extraordinary things Elon Musk has done for humanity, buying Twitter will always hold a special place in my heart
I really love him for what he did and for the kind of heart he has ❤️
And I don't think people will fully appreciate the magnitude of that decision for many years to come
