VA Tip: You should require clients to pay you to create procedural manuals to include all the big picture and detailed stuff you take care of.
VA Tip: An easy way to know what to bill a client for is to consider whether you would be paid to do it if you were an employee. If so, bill for it.
Client Tip: New tech abounds! Have your virtual assistant look into anything you hear about and decide if it would benefit you.
VA Tip: Make sure you have an easy-to-remember domain name that ties in to your business name. Use it on the web and for email.
Client Tip: Virtual assistants have different svcs they, themselves, provide. All VAs, though, should be able to get all your needs handled.
VA Tip: Your website helps establish your credibility and gives people who have already heard of you a place to learn more about you on their own, 24/7.
Client Tip: Even learning 500 new things/day, a virtual assistant would never know how to do it all. Stop expecting that.
Client Tip: Working with the right virtual assistant will absolutely change your life (not to mention your business!)
Client Tip: Payroll? Nah. One check, once a month, to your virtual assistant. Easy peasy, lemon squeezee!
VA Tip: If you don't think you should be billing for it, chances are you shouldn't be doing it to begin with, and someone with better skills should.
VA Tip: "Full time" for a virtual assistant should be no more than 30 billable hours/week (you'll need ten more to work on your business).
Client Tip: Whatever technology you currently use, be open to the idea that your virtual assistant may have a much better solution.
VA Tip: If you work 20 hours a day, your product will be crap.
VA Tip: The more emotionally and relationally mature you become, the more successful your relationships and your business will be.
Client Tip: Work with someone whose grammar/writing skills are terrific. Sad to say, most virtual assistants lack these skills.
VA Tip: Acknowledge yourself as the supreme leader of your own life.
Client Tip: Make a private email address. Peeps needing access to you get it. Everyone else writes to you c/o your VA.
VA Tip: Successful VA's create value at every turn, and are constantly learning and growing.
Client Tip: Repoint your current email address to your VA. Most of your mail wastes your time. Let her send on only what you need.
