There's a difference between wanting to improve yourself because you hate who you are and wanting to improve yourself because you care about who you are.
Both can lead to change.
But only one allows you to appreciate yourself throughout the process.

One of the cruelest things you can do to yourself is repeatedly experience something that only happened to you once.

Underrated life advice:
You don't need to put your entire life on hold every time you're experiencing difficult emotions.
You can feel anxious and still honour your commitments. You can feel sad and still take care of yourself. You can be uncertain and still move forward.
Allow your emotions to exist without requiring your entire life to revolve around them.

Understand this:
You cannot change something about yourself that you refuse to acknowledge.
Stop viewing acceptance as defeat.
You need to recognise where you actually stand so you can begin moving forward.
One principle I live by is: Eat the chaos.
Feel your shit, but don’t drown in it.
A breakup, betrayal, rejection, or business failure can hurt without becoming a verdict on who you are or what your future holds.
The problem is that we often take one painful experience and turn it into a rule about life. Someone betrays us, and suddenly nobody is trustworthy. A client rejects our offer, and we decide our work isn’t valuable. We turn an event into a narrative, then start interpreting everything through that narrative.
Eating the chaos means allowing yourself to feel what happened without letting it dictate who you become.
Extract the lesson. What did this teach you about your standards, your decisions, your business, or the people you choose? What will you recognize sooner or do differently next time?
Feel the experience. Extract the wisdom. Don’t turn the wound into your worldview.
You don’t have to pretend it didn’t hurt. You just have to learn how to metabolize what happened without carrying its pain into everything that comes next.
